I Fought The Law is an MTF mission in IGN's Grand Theft Auto 5 Walkthrough. PART 1: COUNTRYSIDE DRIVE
After the cutscene, enter the car and drive to the waypoint up near the countryside to trigger a cutscene.
PART 2: THE RACE
PART 3: POLICE CHASE
The point of the race is NOT to win against the racers but to lead them to a trap. Continue racing until they reach the bridge area, in which Michael and Trevor take over.
Midway thru the Police chase, Trevor takes a left into the tunnel. You can either take the road on the right side or....
GOLD MEDAL REQUIREMENTS: "FOLLOW THE LEADER"
To achieve this requirement, follow Trevor into the tunnel. Weave your way thru traffic coming towards you and make it out on the other side.

PART 4: THE RACE BACK
When the chase ends, you can either take control of Michael, Trevor, or Franklin and then race back to Los Santos. Drive to the car garage to complete the mission.
MISSION NOTE: RACE TO THE FINISH
It is NOT necessary to win the race back to Los Santos after taking the cars.
