Stingers

Stingers is a pre-Heist mission in IGN's Grand Theft Auto 5 Walkthrough. This guide will highlight the main mission strategies and Gold Medal requirements needed to complete every main story mission. 100% Gold Requirements for Stingers
Escapee	Steal the Police transporter and escape within 2:00
Not A Scratch	Deliver the Police transporter with no damage

The Police van is located right next to the Tow truck parking lot (where you do the Tow truck missions for Tonya). As you approach the area, do NOT enter the vicinity while the Policemen are around or you will get a 1-star rating!

Avoid the drama and just walk to the back of the building where the Police van is located and jump over the wall (see footnote below).

MISSION NOTE: JUMPING THE WALL

When you jump over the wall, the noise you make as you land makes all the difference. If you land on both feet, the thud noise will alert the guard. But if you jump over and do a barrel roll to the ground, you'll land in complete silence.

If the guard doesn't hear you, you can then steal the van and exit the compound without garnering a Wanted level.

On the other hand, if you jump over the wall and the guard DOES hear you, you get an automatic 2-Star Wanted rating as soon as you get in the vehicle. Follow the instructions below on how to evade them quickly.

The closest area to hide in safety is the parking garage directly behind the Police station (from where you jumped over the wall).

Quickly drive into the parking garage and hide until the Wanted rating goes away and then drive to the Vanilla Unicorn unscathed to get both requirements. If you were stealthy enough when stealing the van, you can finish the mission within a minute.
