Los Santos?is a fictional city in the GTA universe, loosely based on Los Angeles and other California Coast cities. It is the setting for games like GTA SA and GTA V, and has many different sections, based on real life places. Many places are parodies, such as the Vinewood sign is parodying the real life Hollywood sign. It is the most detailed city in the series, offering tons of activities and places to take part in.

Districts

Like earlier games, Los Santos has certain districts that have their own style and mood. These usually have straight-forward characteristics and help make the setting feel alive.

Central Los santos

The high-rise heart of the city, which is surrounded by freeways?and the?river, it is the central hub for exploring, as it?is connected to all?other districts.

north los santos

The rich and famous dwell here, with the hills providing great views of the city. Here shops sell the finest clothes and most exspensive cars. This is less populated, but it is also harder to navigate.

south los santos

This independant area, has both ghettos and beaches, based off of both South LA and Long Beach, full of dangerous citizens, but plenty of escape routes.

East los santos

A grab bag of social ranks, nearby the freeway, it has both poor and rich residents seperated by blocks, also includes the industrial zones.

West los santos

Made up of the middle class, it extends towards the city boundries, it is banked by beaches and tourist traps. Various people live there, with many interesting locations to visit.

LSPD

The main enemy in the game, and the corrupted police force, they are comprised of both cars and choppers. They engage in combat to any threat, and will pursue the player using different maneuvers.
