After you're done with Fingers, talk with Judy. She's fired up and wants to find where Evelyn has been dragged off to for "XBDs," or extreme Braindances. You have two options: ask people around Jig-Jig Street for information or scan terminals for a darknet site. This particular part branches a fair bit, and some work easier than others if you have credits ready.
Regardless of what you do, exit the area and walk back toward Jig-Jig. You might see two guys below the big MarkX24 sign right before the main part of Jig-Jig street arguing, not far from the alley that leads to Fingers'. If you wait and let them finish their argument, you can loot whoever doesn't make it out. We're not ones to say no to a free gun or other items. Now, down to business.
Asking for information around Jig-Jig Street
If this is option for you, make sure you chat with shop owners around Jig-Jig street that are marked with a green circle on the minimap. You'll find someone to talk to at the Sex Shop with the hologram outside and he'll tell V about an XBD dealer on Jig-Jig Street.
Follow the waypoint to a bridge at the end of the street and walk down the steps.
The dealer has another customer, but they'll leave as soon as you arrive. Ask for a "particular" kind of BD and proceed as needed, though Death's Head is a good keyword for this guy. The XBD you're looking for is marked by a yellow exclamation point.
It's $1000 and is called XBD: Deep-Fried Death's-Head Moth. Purchase it and move on to the next step.
Return to Judy's van where she can help you explore the Braindance for clues. Here's what you can scan:
- In the visual layer, you can scan a netrunner and a scav at the very beginning and just about any point after, a box of pizza and a scav woman at 00:11, coveralls along with a random box at 00:23, and a coffee cup at 00:38. These three things is enough intel for V and Judy to figure out they're looking for an EC power plant near a Buck-A-Slice.
- The thermal layer doesn't reveal anything significant you don't already find out in the visual layer, so you can skip this one.
- The audio layer will show a loud radio at 00:10 and 00:32 you can find audio of scav's doing their gross work.
When you get the all-clear and you're satisfied with what you found in the BD, exit. Judy knows where to go next. You can ride with her there or exit her van and make your way there yourself when you're ready. If you stay in the car, you'll have a short chat with Judy.
Rescuing Evelyn
Judy will wait in the van while you secure the entrance. As always, you can run combat here a few ways. It is set up for stealth, but there are plenty of explosives and other distractions for you to make use of if you want to get started with an explosive entrance.
Regardless of your playstyle preference, one of the best ways to enter is here, not far from Judy's van and to the left of the main gate's waypoint. You'll see a can on fire the lights climbable pallets next to it in orange.
On this second floor you can use the first ruined building to look at the few people on the ground level. Crouch and move quickly across the bridge (one of them may be able to see you, but if you move quickly, you should be able to get out of sight. Across the bridge is a guy watching something, completely unaware of your presence. Kill him to clear the second floor and proceed below.
If you're playing for stealth turn off the camera at the gate. Cameras are going to be the thing that alert enemies to your presence most in this job, so be sure to give each room a quick sweep with your scanner before proceeding. If you hack the camera, you can look at different cameras in the system to look at the rooms you'll be running though. Some enemies only appear as you get closer to their area, though.
Outside there should still be the four Scavs who were originally guarding the gate, but they may have started moving around. There are three more in the first room, and if you start shooting, one or two of them may run to join their friends at the front.
So long as you make use of cover (and even explosives!) you shouldn't have trouble making it through here. If you're having trouble finding enemies, consider using the Ping quickhack on an enemy to see other nearby enemies. Or, use ping on an electronic device to see other the system's other electronics.
In the Scav Building
Once you set foot in the building, Judy will ask you to find a way into the sub-levels. There's plenty to loot in this area too if you're in need of ammo, extra weapons for crafting parts, or Maxdocs for health. Remember, using your scanner will quickly show you all items you can interact with.
The stairs leading to the sub-levels are in the back right corner of the building, lit by an orange light. Proceed and V will let Judy know they've found a way down. Keep moving down and Judy will join you. Don't worry, this isn't some escort mission. Judy will follow you, but she's come with a gun in hand.
Proceed through the first gate and you should see a dumpster and a pile of clothes next to it. You can scan the clothes. One of those articles of clothing belonged to Evelyn Parker.
The next gate leads you to a room with two enemies. One Scav is at the desk on a computer to the left of the gate, and another is around the corner from him.
There's a camera on the wall near the door on the back of the Scav side of the room you can scan to use and see both of their positions. Swing through the right side of the room behind the curtain first to get a quip from Johnny about the Scav drug business.
Be careful, though. The woman Scav moves around her side of the room and can see you if you're in the wrong spot. Eliminate the male Scav at the desk first then swing around and take out the woman while she's looking at the table along the left wall. The PC at the desk allows you to turn off security too if you want. You can jack in if you have level 5 Intelligence.
The door on the Scav's side of the room has to be unlocked and can only be opened if you have level 9 Technical Ability. This leads to a short path that allows easier access to stealth subdue the two guys in the next room. If you can't open it, take the open entrance in the middle of the room and walk down the ramp.
After you kill the two enemies in this room, be sure to look in the crate in the middle of the room where the two guys were standing. You should find an Epic/Purple gun called the M-179e Achilles. You can find other ammo and supplies around this room too.
There's a sort of break room connected to this larger weapons area too, just across from the open ramp you may have entered the room from. Inside is a guy in a BD, so he won't be aware if you already started shooting.
Eliminate him for XP and $10 and snag the food in this room. If you did start shooting in this weapons area, you may have drawn the attention of three enemies in the next area and they could come upstairs. Like the others here they aren't too tough, though, so just be aware. If you're not Judy will start shooting.
Locked Door in the Hallway
Proceed through the gate to the hallway and eliminate any enemies in your way, but if you've got at least 5 Technical Ability, stop by the door on the left. Open it, and inside are two enemies. They'll be aware of you if you already started shooting in the previous room. You can shoot them (or the explosives around them) through the metal structure.
Loot the room and modies for weapons and Eurodollars, but the cool thing in here is past the dissection area. Walk into the room with cages and you should see a crate with a blue loot icon. Inside is the SPT32 Grad, a rare Power Sniper Rifle. Even if you don't like to use snipers, it sells for a decent amount.
Continue down the hallway and make a looting pitstop on your right.
This office is loaded with Eurodollars (well over $1000) so don't miss 'em. Walk down a short flight of stairs and be wary of enemies if you hadn't cleaned out the three in this area already.
You can loot in this larger room and to your left you'll find a sort of holding area for the Scav's victims. Johnny has a short thing to say here and you can find some of their clothes in dumped suitcases outside and ot the left of the cell. Remember, you can use your scanner to quickly see what lootable items there are in the area.
Proceed down the stairs toward the red light. On the left you'll find a maintenance room. This is Judy's stop, for now anyway. You can use this area too if you have at least 20 Technical Ability (ha.) but you're better off opening the laptop next to Judy and turning off the security system there.
Be careful with the next room. There's a guy just beyond the door. If you're going in guns blazing, remember to come back here and loot a container to the right of the entryway in a small alcove. There's a Rare Cyberware Mod called Slow Rotor here. It Increases Mantis Blade attack speed by 20%. Something to hold onto for later, maybe. There's another rare Mantis Blades mod in here too.
On the back wall to the right of the smaller door is a Rare Cyberware Mod called Blade - Physical Damage. There are some other mods and components on the left side of the room too as well as two things you can Scan. Johhny will have a quick thing to say too.
The Furnace Room
This next room has two levels. There are plenty of places to sneak around in here but there are a few cameras active too. If you're going for stealth remove them from the equation first. There are two fun ways to kick off this fight without using your gun: First, sneak up the stairs on the right and into the room that oversees the larger room.
There's a computer you can use to explode the furnace. This is loud, but it's sorta cool!
Another fun way to kick off this fight if the three lower level enemies in this room are still unaware of your presence is by making a catwalk segment on the left above the two guys standing together fall with quickhack.
It should kill both of them, though the guy in the middle will probably go on alert after he sees the corpses of his two fellow Scavengers.
There's one more guy in the back right side of this larger room, but other enemies will move out of their spots if you start firing. Down a hallway in sort of a server room are two enemies. They might not leave their room though, so you should be good to loot the area if you want.
The door to the next area is in the back right corner of the room. Welcome to Sector 3. You're almost there!
Open the first set of double doors and you'll find two Scavengers in the middle of braindances. Kill 'em if you want, be more importantly, make sure you grab the $1422 Eurodollars from the yellow case near the monitor in the back corner of the room. Down the hallway is a lot of trash, a corpse, an elevator you can't use, and a door that requires 9 Technical Ability or 7 Body to open.
Return to the hallway and open the next door. There's one enemy in this room for you to eliminate. Around this time Judy will join you with the studio not too far away. There's a body you can scan in here, but it's not Evelyn. Keep moving through the hallway and past the red light is one final room with enemies. Two Scavengers are in the server room with the open door toward the end of the hallway, and if you haven't already killed them, do so now.
With them dead the area should turn to Public. Loot the server room for money and other items, then backtrack a little to the final closed door to get to the studio.
Judy runs inside as Johnny paces near Evelyn's body. Go to Evelyn. Judy instructs you to grab the cable and yank it when she gives the call.
You can talk to Johnny before you interact with Evelyn. Get ready. And... wait! Let the timer expire and V will pull the cable, but Judy will match the timing. If you're playing the aggressive punk, you can try to interrogate her here, but she's not really in a condition to talk. Ask Judy questions if you want then pick up Evelyn when you're ready to go. Go to the elevator on the left to end the mission.
