To start this mission, return to the the hotel to talk with Placide. You'll do this regardless of your choice in I Walk the Line. Your interaction with him varies based on your decision, though.
Handle the situation with Placide as you wish, and before long, Brigitte shows up and talks with V. She's irritated V and the chip (mainly just the chip) were put in danger and offers to help. How helpful that aid actually is is questionable, but V doesn't have much of a choice.
At the end of the conversation you can follow Brigitte's lead or you can opt to explore other options, which gives you a break from the quest. Let Brigitte know when you're ready to proceed and she'll take you to the chapel.
Back to the Chapel
V has once again found themselves in Pacifica Serenity Bible Church. Follow Brigitte as V and her talk. The Voodoo Boys leader chats a little about their background and the chip as she leads V further into the tunnels.
Brigitte leads V to an old set of tracks complete with a few train cars, one of which is filled with servers and other tech the Voodoo Boys use for netrunning. There are plenty of shards and other things to snag in this area if that interests you. Otherwise you can move on with the mission by talking to Brigitte.
Brigitte reveals their ultimate goal: contact Alt Cunningham to help them break beyond cyberspace's Blackwall. Since Johnny used to know Alt, data from his engram should help them pinpoint her location. If you chat with Brigitte more, you'll learn why their goal is so important to them and even talk a bit about your relationship with Johnny. Johnny has some things to say too.
Next up for V is what we can only assume is a very unpleasant ice bath while the Voodoo Boys settle into their chairs. Ask any final questions you may have before entering and being sent into cyberspace.
In cyberspace you'll once again find Brigitte, but no on else. Approach her to talk about the place and she'll explain that they need to search Johnny's memories for Alt.
This takes you to the mission Never Fade Away. Click or tap here for the guide to Never Fade Away.
Once you've returned from the memory, you'll continue here. The end of Transmission depends on your choice in I Walk the Line. If you stayed true to your mission with the Voodoo Boys, continue scrolling.
Siding with the Voodoo Boys
V emerges from cyberspace with a new plan: get to Mikoshi and get Alt in. If they can do that, they can get Alt to make an engram of V and reupload them to their body so that Johnny doesn't completely kill them. Only kind of.
V emerges from the ice bath and is greeted by Brigitte. It's a cold reunion on the side of the living, but at least V made it out in once piece.
Talk with Brigitte. The Voodoo Boys were playing at every single possible turn, and you can choose to get payback for that. If you do choose that, be ready to fight everyone in this room and more. For the purpose of this walkthrough we'll play nice, but you can scroll down to the NetWatch option to read about about what happens if you turn against the Voodoo Boys.
Once you're done talking with Brigitte you're free to go. You can finish looting the area for shards and other equipment and head out.
V taunts Placide a bit on their way out. Definitely deserved.
As soon as V passes through the chapel doors they suffer from another relic malfunction. Johnny checks in the weird way he can and you're given a few significant options. The way you interact with Johnny in moments like these can impact your relationship with him and, ultimately, the ending.
Choose what feels best for you and your playstyle.
Now that you've completed the mission, you can proceed to Ghost Town or Down on the Street.
Siding with NetWatch
If you sided with NetWatch in I Walk the Line, they attack the Voodoo Boys Netrunners and kill them when you're pulled back from the beyond by Alt. She'll save Johnny and V, but the Voodoo Boys are toast.
This conversation with Alt has one outcome, so feel free to get as much additional information from her (and Johnny) in this conversation scene. It ends with a plan: Alt will help separate V and Johnny, but they need to get to Mikoshi. That's the endgame.
V awakes in the chapel's basement alone. All the Netrunners around them are dead. Loot their bodies and get ready for a fight.
Not long after you approach the train blocking the middle path three to six Voodoo Boys emerge from the tunnel. If you walk through the train they will certainly spot you. You can try for a stealthy approach here, but given that you're dealing with six people in this one room and a Netrunner who will hack you if they spot you, it's gonna be tricky.
For stealth players, keep to the shadows (as always) and make use of all the traps here. There are several lifts with chains you can destroy and you can walk behind both trains in this room. There's tons of tech for distractions too. Like all stealth operations, move slowly, carefully, and take your time.
Beyond this room are two more more men waiting in the hallway. Then, around the corner and up the tunnel another person standing in the way.
After eliminating them you'll find three more Voodoo Boys in the basement guarding the way to the stairs. It's a tight space, so a grenade will help make quick work of them. Be careful, though. There's another Netrunner in the area and they will try to Overheat you too. Walk up the stairs and a guy with jump out and attempt to surprise you with his bullets. Take him out, crouch, and get ready to fight Placide. The gate behind you is shut.
Boss Fight: Placide Punisher
Placide won't notice you when you first approach. Use that to your advantage. You can hack items around the room to draw his attention while you prepare yourself for the fight. If you sneak behind him you won't get any special prompts to hurt him, so instead, use his misguided attention as an opportunity to get a big opening blow.

If you scan Placide you'll see that he's most resistant to fire. If any of your weapons have a chance to proc fire damage, make sure you're using that for the most efficient way to take him down.
Placide wields a shotgun and zips around the room with the help of Sandevistan MK. 2, meaning your best bet at killing him is keeping him in one place.
We found getting successive headshots to get him to stagger, backing up, then chucking grenade after grenade to be the most efficient method of killing Placide. We used a Lizzie that deals fire damage.
As soon as he staggers or falls, toss more grenades. They do massive damage and should mostly keep him in one place, making this a quick fight.
With Placide dead you can loot his body for the chapel key (and some other souvenirs as well, including his coat).
As soon as V passes through the chapel doors they suffer from another relic malfunction. Johnny checks in the weird way he can and you're given a few significant options. The way you interact with Johnny in moments like these can impact your relationship with him and, ultimately, the ending.
