Tapeworm Walkthrough

Tapeworm is a short mission that takes places over the course of four different occasions. The Tapeworm missions will take place immediately after the completion of the following three Main Jobs:

• Life During Wartime
• Transmission
• Search and Destroy

Apart from the final stage of this mission, V will only to speak with Johnny to complete each of the three stages.

It's important to note, your choices during this mission will have no effect on the story, leaving you the option to block Johnny with the help of pills or simply listening to his conversations.

Speak with Johnny After Search and Destroy

After the completion of Search and Destroy, V's condition will continue to deteriorate as the malfunctions continue to get worse.

Once V has regained her composure, V and Johnny will begin hashing out their differences - eventually realizing they may not actually be that different at all. Following a lengthy conversation, Johnny will eventually share more details about his past and his experience with death.

Speak with Johnny After Life During Wartime

After completing Life During Wartime, the Relic will once again start to malfunction, causing V to become sick. Stumbling down the stairs, V will find Johnny sitting on a nearby bench.

Forgoing the option to end the conversation with Omega Blockers, V will listen as Johnny begins complaining about the war against corps and how they need to be stopped.

Speak with Johnny After Transmission

After the completing of Transmission, V will encounter Johnny once again and will suffer their most serious malfunction yet, which causes you to completely black out.

Upon waking up, you'll realize that you are now in Pacifica.

Speak with Johnny In Pacifica And Open the Hidden Cache

After admiring the view, continue speaking with Johnny as you discuss the fact that you almost flatlined.

Caught with pills in your hand, V and Johnny will begin to bicker, causing Johnny to state that he in fact saved your life and wasn't going to take the pills.

Following Johnny around the outside of the building, climb through the window when prompted. Johnny will inform V about a hidey hole in the room and will ask you to open it. Emptying the contents inside, V will find several of Johnny's belongings.

These will prompt a rather lengthy conversation, in which V and Johnny share what would be the closest thing to a heart-to-heart, as he fills V in on his former life and agrees to be the one that gets wiped should it come to that.

As the conversation progresses, Johnny will reveal his one wish - to seek revenge on Adam Smasher, the guy that took his life. With a plan to meet with Rouge, V will have the option to give or deny Johnny control of your body.

Having made your choice, climb through the window to end the mission.

The completion of this mission will see you entering the end game of Cyberpunk 2077, as you begin the Act 3 Main Job, Nocturne OP55N1.
