Gangs
Cyberpunk 2077's Night City is far from the safest and most peaceful city around. The city is overrun by multiple gangs who have taken over the coastal futuristic city. There are seven districts in the game, including Dogtown in the Phantom Liberty expansion, with each one having different gangs and dynamics at play.?Below, you can read about each gang in Cyberpunk 2077.
Maelstrom
Location: Watson District
Key Characters: Royce (Leader, appears in The Pickup main quest)
Bio: The Maelstrom is one of the most notorious and dangerous gangs in Night City. They are all about the cybertechnology in Cyberpunk 2077 to the point of becoming cyberpsychos due to all of the augmentations they have made to their bodies. Many of them have visually changed their appearances with cybertech to the point of having mechanical faces and the like.
Valentinos
Location: Heywood
Key Characters: Jackie Welles (former Valentinos member)
Bio: The predominantly Latino gang Valentinos makes Heywood its home. The gang is religiously fueled, touting honor as one of its focal points. They have a punishment for every offense that happens in the gang. Members of this very large gang have a goal of attracting women around the city.
6th Street
Location: Santo Domingo
Bio: The 6th Street is at war with the Valentinos, making its home in Santo Domingo. They are highly patriotic, wearing and flaunting the country flag all around themselves and their bases.?They wish to bring justice to Night City.
The Voodoo Boys
Location: Pacifica
Key Characters: Brigitte (Leader), Placide (Second-in-command)
Bio: The Voodoo Boys are one of the most technologically advanced of the gangs of Night City and are made up of a large Haitian community. They are found in the coastal area known as Pacifica where the skilled netrunners are at war with the Animals.?
Animals
Location: Pacifica
Key Characters: Sasquatch (Leader)
Bio: When it comes to the Animals, they are as brutal as they come. These melee-focused buff gangsters are all about getting up close and personal with their enemies. They run illegal drug and underground fighting operations in Pacifica.?
Tyger Claws
Key Characters: Wakako Okada (Fixer),
Bio: Found in the Westbrook district of Night City, the Tyger Claws are an Asian gang who runs sex and drug businesses there.?They are notable for their tattoos and blade weaponry.
Moxes
Location: Watson (Mainly Lizzie’s Bar)
Key Characters: Evelyn Parker, Judy Alvarez
Bio: The Moxes have broken off from the Tyger Claws, consisting of many pimps, sex workers, and other outcasts. They are rivals with their former gang.?
Scavengers
Location: All over the Night City Districts
Bio: This gang is made up of lots of members who are found all throughout Night City. They hold the highest body count out of all the gangs in Cyberpunk 2077.?They have little sense of organization or rules, simply attacking people on the streets for cyberware to sell on the Black Market.
Aldecaldos
Location: Badlands
Key Characters: Mitch (associate of the Aldecaldos, met during the Nomad Life Path)
Bio: The Aldecaldos roam the Badlands as one of the many groups that make up the Seven Nations for Nomads outside of Night City. They are constantly at odds with the other major Nomad group you’ll meet in Night City: the Wraiths.
Wraiths
Location: Badlands
Bio: The Wraiths are one of the Nomad gangs that roam the Badlands. Unlike the Aldecaldos and other Nomad groups in the area, they are highly dangerous and will attack other Nomads and people who they come across. As one of the largest groups in the Badlands, they are always fighting against the Aldecaldos.
Barghest
Location: Dogtown (exclusive to the Phantom Liberty expansion)
Bio: The Barghest are a gang led by ex-military Colonel Kurt Hansen. Together, they keep Dogtown free of NCPD interference or corporate influence. Not only is the group comprised of ex-military, it also includes veterans who've been forgotten by the megacorps, renegade mercs, lone gang members from other parts of the city, and more.
