How to Dye Armor
Who says you can't look good while saving the world? With armor dyeing, you get one of the best ways to customize Link's appearance aside from changing his equipment, and the feature is back with an extra addition in Tears of the Kingdom.
Aside from dyeing your helmet, chest piece, and pants, you can now customize your glider! Below you'll find everything you need to know on how to dye armor in TotK. Looking for something specific? Use these links to jump to a specific section within this page:
How to Dye Armor
You can dye Link's armor at the Kochi Dye Shop in Hateno Village, the same spot you were able to do so in Breath of the Wild. Sayge runs the shop; speak to him inside to start the dyeing process.
Sayge will dye all of Link's armor except for a few items—such as the Champion's Leathers—蹿辞谤 20 Rupees and five ingredients. The ingredients you need are based on the color you choose, and there are 15 colors you can pick from.
- For example, if you choose white, you can use White Chuchu Jelly, Ice Fruit, Hylian Rice, or a combination of all three.
- If you want to mix and match different colors, you must unequip certain pieces of equipment and go through the process from the beginning; you'll then have to pay Sayge another 20 Rupees.
- You can also revert to the original color of the armor by choosing the option "Back to the original."
How to Customize the Paraglider
Not only can you dye your armor at Sayge's shop, but you can now customize the look of your paraglider using different types of fabrics.
There are 11 new fabrics to choose from and unlock—most of them require you to take a photo of the reference enemy using the Purad Pad's Camera.
The cost to customize Link's paraglider is 20 Rupees as well.
