How to Disable the HUD
Disabling the HUD in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, also known as enabling Pro HUD mode, will remove the various game information from the screen. Turning off the heads-up display creates a more immersive experience and also lets you take clean pictures of your adventure, so here’s how to switch off the HUD.
Disabling the HUD
Your screen will have game information on display by default, including your health and the mini-map, but we’re going to show you how to toggle the HUD off to make everything disappear.
First, open the game menu by pressing the plus (+) button. Then navigate to the System page (with the gear symbol) and select Options.
Next, scroll down to "HUD mode" and toggle it from Normal to Pro. Standard mode displays the traditional game data you’re used to seeing, while Pro mode displays minimal information.
With Pro HUD mode enabled, the HUD will be gone. Also, most on-screen game information will no longer appear, such as button input reminders. Basic prompts to pick up items and such will still show up in Pro mode.
You can switch the HUD mode from Pro back to Standard to make the traditional on-screen game data reappear.
