Stonesword Keys are an item that you'll need to unlock Imp Statue Seals and uncover secrets across the Lands Between in Elden Ring. On this page, you'll find the locations of all of the Stonesword Keys that have been discovered so far, as well as information on the rewards you can expect to find.

A Stonesword Key can be used to unlock Imp Seal Statues, which remove barriers preventing you from accessing special rooms, dungeon entrances, and even some optional boss fights. Most statues require 1 Stonesword Key to unlock, while others require 2.

Special among these are the three Imp Seals at the Four Belfries area in northwestern Liurnia. These require special Imbued Sword Keys to unlock teleporters to special areas far away.

Note that some Stonesword Keys can be bought from various Merchants for a high price, but many more can be found by exploring every corner of the world and its dungeons. In total, you can find 81 Stonesword Keys (not including keepsakes), and 3 Imbued Sword Keys. To unlock every Imp Seal Statue in Elden Ring, it will require 47 Stonesword Keys, which means there will be 34 Keys left over. Any leftover keys can be taken with you to New Game+ to unlock Imp Statue Seals that much faster.

Stonesword Keys That Can be Purchased

You'll find multiple merchants across the Lands Between that sell these invaluable items. Note that since there are more than enough keys you can find in the world to unlock every Imp Seal Statue, you don't actually need to spend currency on keys if you'd rather find them yourself. However, if you wish to unlock some Imp Seal Statues quickly, you'll find the merchant locations and prices below:

Limgrave Stonesword Key Locations

There are three Stonesword Keys (not including merchants) that can be found in the area of West Limgrave.

In a ruined tower near the center of the ruins in West Limgrave.

On the corpse to the right of the Site of Grace at Stormhill Shack in West Limgrave.

In the Fringefolk Hero's Grave Dungeon, on a high platform overlooking the stone chariot, guarded by a spectral Banished Knight (Drop down a ledge when you reach the thin bridge, then down again when you reach the room with the Grafted Scions to find a lift back up to the platform).

Weeping Peninsula Stonesword Key Locations

There are three Stonesword Keys (not including merchants) that can be found in the region of the Weeping Peninsula below Limgrave.

From a corpse on the end of the Bridge of Sacrifice towards the Weeping Peninsula

At the northern end of the cliff from Beside the Crater-Pocked Glade/Oridys's Rise on the east side of the Weeping Peninsula

Below and behind Castle Morne on the corpse. Use the Behind the Castle Site of Grace, then drop down to the south side.

Stormveil Castle Stonesword Key Locations

There are three Stonesword Keys located within the Legacy Dungeon of Stormveil Castle.

Can be collected from the corpse by jumping over to the building across from the top of the Rampart Tower in Stormveil Castle.

Stormveil Castle main hall with the Grafted Scion on the corpse sitting on the edge of the ledge (take the long way around and look for a rooftop ladder behind the Banished Knight room to drop down on the other side of the locked door to the ledge).

In the very bottom of the Stormveil Castle Depths (accessed via the pit outside the Liftside Chamber near the end of the dungeon), defeat the Ulcerated Tree Spirit in the pit below to find a body with a Stonesword Key.

Siofra River Well Stonesword Key Locations

There are three Stonesword Key locations (not including merchants) that can be found in both the Siofra River and Nokron, Eternal City located above it.

Among the ruins jutting out east in a long line over the abyss, use the Spiritspring to jump to the top of the long broken pathway, and you can find a corpse at the very edge with a Stonesword Key.

On the northern side of the region, head to the underside of the large structure built out of the rock over the waterfalls and run down one of the long buttresses next to a Golden Seed, and use Torrent to double jump up to the platform, and check the side that faces the nearby obelisk to find a body stashed away.

In the upper Ancestral Woods by Nokron, Eternal City, look for a path past the Hallowhorn Grounds leading to the Siofra River Aqueduct, and drop down on a lower ledge filled with Spirit Jellyfish.

Liurnia Stonesword Key Locations

There are six Stonesword Keys and one Imbued Sword Key (not including merchants) that can be found in the region of Liurnia.

Just past the Eastern Tableland Site of Grace in East Liurnia.

Inside the Academy Crystal Cave Dungeon below the Academy of Raya Lucaria in North Liurnia.

Located at the Academy Gate Town ruins inside a chest atop a sunken tower on the far north ruins in North Liurnia.

Under the South Raya Lucaria Gate's bridge, north of the gate and under the academy itself in North Liurnia.

At the top of the Four Belfries mountain in far north of West Liurnia, the fourth belfry has a chest containing an Imbued Sword Key used to activate one of the three Sending Gates in this area.

In the Frenzied Village to the northeast of Liurnia past the Frenzy Tower, located on a tall rampart on the west side of the village you can jump down to the cliffs above the town.

After you have beaten the boss of Caria Manor, move left along the lower cliffs of the Three Sisters are to find a spot to drop onto the roof of the main Caria Manor where the merchant Pidia is.

From here, you can make your way along the ramparts above the main gate, where a Giant Crab guards the key.

Academy of Raya Lucaria Stonesword Key Locations

There are two Stonesword Keys and one Imbued Sword Key found in the legacy dungeon of the Academy of Raya Lucaria in Liurnia.

Before the Debate Parlor in the Academy of Raya Lucaria, as you reveal a room by hitting an illusory wall. The Stonesword Key is behind the table.

In the courtyard when you exit the Debate Parlour, the corpse on the statue in the middle of the courtyard has a Stonesword Key.

Head left from the large courtyard to jump across a series of rooftops back towards the Church of the Cuckoo, but don't jump across to the church rooftops. Instead, look around for a ledge past a ladder leading to a flat tower balcony, and you can find another Imbued Sword Key for the Four Belfries Sending Gates.

Caelid Stonesword Key Locations

You can find three Stonesword Keys and one Imbued Sword Key (not including merchants) in the region of Caelid.

Inside the Gaol Cave dungeon in Caelid, once you access the lever to open all the cells, check each one to find a Stonesword Key in a larger cell full of Putrid Undead.

In Sellia, Town of Sorcery, on the corpse near the ladder that lets you break the sealed doors in the center of town.

In Sellia, Town of Sorcery, in a chest unlocked by one of the three seals in the town (Imbued Sword Key).

Located in the ravine below Dragonbarrow where the Deep Siofra Well elevator exit is, you can find the key just to the south on a ledge leading into the Aeonia Swamp, guarded by a Runebear.

Dragonbarrow Stonesword Key Locations

There are only two Stonesword Keys that can be found in the region of Dragonbarrow, north of Caelid.

From the Fort Faroth Site of Grace, head West towards the big white rock. Use the jump just before it, to reach the top of it.

Located around the outer rim of the Divine Tower of Caelid as you scale the walls toward the entrance at the top of a series of ladders. Run along the ledges to the south side to find a body guarded by a Godrick Soldier with a greatshield.

Nokstella Stonesword Key Locations

There are two Stonesword Keys located within the upper Ainsel River and Nokstella, Eternal City.

Found in the upper Ainsel River guarded by a Giant Poison Plant after teleporting to Nokstella from Ranni's Rise.

Located along the eternal city on a ledge to the northwest below the lift where you fight the Swordmaiden and Mimics, near the Golden Seed overlooking a large pool of water far below.

Mt. Gelmir Stonesword Key Locations

There are four Stonesword Keys (not including merchants) that can be found in the region around Mt. Gelmir.

Located on the Shaded Castle's east side dangling from a rocky pillar. You can try reaching it by climbing up the outer courtyard rampart and leaping from the rocks, or wait until you reach the upper ramparts of the inner courtyard near a ladder and jumping across the tops of the rocky pillars from the north.

On the broken bridge northwest from First Mt. Gelmir Campsite.

Inside the Gelmir Hero's Grave Dungeon, once you reach the second pathway with a stone chariot you need to avoid, head up the slope to the right to find a dead end with a body holding the key.

Found just to the north of Fort Laeidd, look for a large tree surrounded by docile Spirit Jellyfish, and you'll find a body on the other side holding the key.

Volcano Manor Stonesword Key Locations

There are two Stonesword Keys located within the Legacy Dungeon of the Volcano Manor in Mt. Gelmir.

In Volcano Manor, from the Prison Town Church Site of Grace. Run across the rooftops to the west, drop down at the end, then run through to the right, and take the turning to the right before the Omenkiller. Go to the wooden staircase through the door, then to what looks like the dead end. There is a broken set of stairs across from here that has a Stonesword Key. Run and jump across to land on the broken stairs safely.

Located in the Lift Tower that leads back to the Temple of Eiglay, you can jump through a window halfway up the lift to find a room with the key on a bed.

Altus Plateau Stonesword Key Locations

You can find five Stonesword Keys (not including merchants) across the region of the Altus Plateau and Capital Outskirts.

In the East Soldier's Camp full of Misbegottens on the road toward the entrance to the capital city.

Inside the Sage's Cave Dungeon in one of the many chest rooms in the dungeon.

In Auriza Hero's Grave when you reach the ramp where there are chariots on either side, going up and down in alternating ways. The Stonesword Key is on the corpse in the middle of the ramp.

In the Sealed Tunnel, when you're in the room with the Abductor Virgin at the very bottom. On the top level, to the right, there's a corpse with a Stonesword Key.

East of the Stormcaller Church and South of Altus Tunnel (just by the sword gravestones), there is a corpse on top of a structure with a Stonesword Key.

Leyndell Stonesword Key Locations

There are six Stonesword Keys that can be found inside and around the dungeon of Leyndell, Royal Capital and the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds below it. Note that most will be unavailable after completing Farum Azula.

Jump over the ledge next to the three Oracle Envoys at the end of the East Capital Rampart. Head north and jump along the rooftops until you find a corpse hanging off the edge of the building next to two stone Imps. Located on a building along the main avenue leading to the east capital gates, across from the circular temple where a Crucible Knight is.

Located on top of a gazebo southeast of the West Capital Ramparts, which you can reach by jumping down from a raised walkway guarded by several Leyndell Knights, right where the tip of the giant Bolt of Gransax spear is located.

Found northeast of the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace, in a small graveyard area guarded by 3 praying skeletons.

Located in a chest inside a guarded building full of enemies throwing lightning pots directly under the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace, accessible by heading southwest from the nearby cemetery with the other Stonesword Key.

Outside the Fortified Manor in the west end of Leyndell, in a small building accessible by jumping from the dragons foot.

In the large, maze-like pipe section of the shunning grounds, look for a hole in a pipe filled with slugs to drop down into a larger room where three Revenants guard the key, and a door to unlock leading back to the pipes.

Deeproot Depths Keys Locations

Found in the northwest edge of the Nameless City, on top of a sunken church located just below Crucible Knight Siluria, which you can access from a Spirit Spring Jump.

Mountaintops of the Giants Stonesword Key Locations

There are four Stonesword Keys that can be found in the expanded region of the Mountaintops of the Giants - including the Consecrated Snowfield.

Near the grouping of fire enemies led by a large Fire Prelate with a warhammer, southwest of the Whiteridge Road Site of Grace in front of the garrison.

Found in Castle Sol on the northern end of the mountaintops, located on one of the northern rampart rooftops, guarded by a Banished Knight and two wolves.

Head north of the Yelough Anix Tunnel, to a tower filled with Frenzy Rats. You'll find the item inside the ruined tower after clearing out the horde of rats.

Head west from the Inner Consecrated Snowfield Site of Grace, past the river, until you find a seated corpse with a glowing item in its lap. This is a Stonesword Key.

Miquella's Haligtree Stonesword Key Locations

There are only two Stonesword Keys that you can find in the dungeon of Miquella's Haligtree / Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree.

Upon arriving at the Haligtree Canopy, you'll be facing the Site of Grace. Turn around to look at the end of the branch to find an obscured body at the very edge.

Continue along the canopy until you reach a larger branch running the length of the area to the town. Head upward to the south to fight past a few large ants, and look for a smaller branch between the main branch with the ants, and another branch with a large poison flower, and you'll find the key on a body at the end of a thin branch.

Mohgwyn Palace Stonesword Key Locations

There are only two Stonesword Keys (not including merchants) that can be found in the underground area of Mohgwyn's Palace.

Found on the far western edge of the Blood Lake by the giant crows, on a corpse among a series of gravestones on dry land.

Located on the cliffs leading to the Mohgwyn Palace Mausoleum, in a small alcove to the right before you hit the entrance, and is surrounded by praying zombies.

Farum Azula Stonesword Key Locations

Located outside of the Dragon Temple area where the Godskin Duo is located, on the lower level to the east guarded by a lone Banished Knight.
