Sacred Tear Locations
This section of IGN's Elden Ring guide covers all Sacred Tear locations. Sacred Tears upgrade your Flasks of Crimson and Cerulean Tears by increasing how much HP and FP they restore with each use.
They're fewer in number compared to Golden Tears, but you'll find them in more predictable places. Sacred Tears are almost always in churches, though not every church houses one.
Limgrave Sacred Tear Locations
Almost all of Limgrave's Sacred Tears are on the Weeping Peninsula at the southeastern edge of the area's map. The bridge to the peninsula is heavily guarded, so it's best to leave this until you have a good weapon or some decent armor. However, at least one is located in the relatively docile East Limgrave.
Third Church of Marika Sacred Tear
Traveling east from the starting area in West Limgrave, you can uncover the lands of Mistwood known as East Limgrave. Northeast of the Waypoint Ruins is the Third Church of Marika. Along with a Sacred Tear, you'll find the Flask of Wondrous Physick, so it's definitely worth taking the time to visit.
Church of Pilgrimage Sacred Tear
The Weeping Peninsula has a trio of churches, each with a Sacred Tear, and the easiest to get to is the Church of Pilgrimage. When you can, take a right after crossing the Bridge of Sacrifice, and you'll find this church not far off. If you get lost, just follow the road south from the bridge first and grab the map fragment.
Fourth Church of Marika Sacred Tear
Head southwest from the Church of Pilgrimage, past the walking mausoleum, and you'll find the Fourth Church of Marika on a hill. Stop off at the Tombsward Ruins on the way to grab the Winged Scythe.
Callu Baptismal Church Sacred Tear
West of the Site of Grace on the road is a large hill. At its top is the Ailing Village and the Callu Baptismal Church with its Sacred Tear.
Liurnia Sacred Tear Locations
Liurnia has fewer Sacred Tears, or so it seems thus far, but every bit helps.
Church of Irith Sacred Tear
Whether you defeated Godrick or used the secret shortcut, you'll run across the Church of Irith shortly after arriving in Liurnia. Grab the Sacred Tear, and speak with the exiled acolyte for some background on Sellen the Sorceress.
Bellum Church Sacred Tear
You'll find Bellum Church northeast of the Academy of Raya Lucaria. To get to the highway, either find the Glintstone Academy Key west of the academy itself, and use the east gate to teleport across the bridge - or you can enter the ravine to the north to find a path straight up through the crumbling church. There's a Golden Seed if you continue going northeast along the riverbed as well.
Church of Inhibition Sacred Tear
Further north on the Bellum Highway is the Grand Lift of Dectus, and to the west of the lift is a hill leading up to a community in the grip of a Frenzy - complete with an all-seeing eye that will hit you with continous frenzy as you run up. Stock up on preventitive effects and gallop past it, through the nearby town, and up to the hill on the top north side to find the church. Beware - you'll invaded by a fearsome frenzied opponent before you can claim the Sacred Tear inside.
Caelid Sacred Tears
Like the previous regions, you'll find sacred tears at a church in this rotted area - but note that the Smoldering Church does not have one.
Church of the Plague Sacred Tear
The only church that holds a Sacred Tear in this region is located near the border between Caelid and Dragonbarrow, and it can be a bit of pain to get to.
You can either unveil the mystery of the Town of Sellia by finding the belltowers to unseal the large gate to a path winding northeast to the church, or ride along the narrow ravine northeast of Caelem Ruins to jump across the gap into Dragonbarrow, and avoid the dragons as you ride east and drop down near the large skull to reach the church - where several Kindred of Rot guard the entrance to the decaying church where the NPC Milicent can be found with the Scared Tear.
Altus Plateau Sacred Tears
You can find two churches outside the capital city of Leyndell that both holds a Sacred Tear, but fearsome foes await.
Second Church of Marika Sacred Tear
This church is located near the center of the Altus Plateau, north of the soldier camps along the main road - you can find it on an isloated lower plateau not far from the Mirage Tower. In addition to finding a Sacred Tear here, you may also encounter the last stand of Bloody Finger Hunter Yura, and encounter his hostile nemesis, Elenora, so be careful!
Stormcaller Church Sacred Tear
Also on the Altus Plateau, you can circle around the large higher plateau between the two entrances to the capital city (by finding a path down from the north entrance). You'll be on the right track when you start encountering lightning storms and large sword graveyards. The church itself is guarded by a few Leyndell Knights and two more soldiers wait to ambush you as you step inside the church itself.
Don't miss out on a chest in the church as well that holds the Dragonbolt Blessing spell!
Mountaintop of the Giants Sacred Tears
In the final region east of the Altus Plateau and the Royal Capital, you'll find the last few sacred tears at the crumbling churches lost in the snowy mountains.
First Church of Marika Sacred Tear
Located in the far northeast of the Mountaintops of the Giants, you'll have to cross a large frozen lake where the mighty dragon Borealis makes its home. Past the dragon and a number of Giant Crayfish, you can find the lost church at the far eastern edge with the Sacred Tear inside.
Church of Repose Sacred Tear
After traveling across the large iron chain to the southeast portion of the Mountaintops of the Giants, make your way up the sloping mountain past the corpses of giants, and dodge the trolls fighting the crows and dogs to find the Church of Repose nestled off to the right.
You'll find to fight off an invader known as Okina who carries the Rivers of Blood katana, before you can enter the lone church to find the last Sacred Tear.
