Things Cyberpunk Doesn't Tell You
Wondering why you're constantly overheating in Cyberpunk 2077 or simply looking for more storage options? With so much to do and explore in Cyberpunk 2077, it should come as no surprise just how many things the game doesn't tell you, even with the September 2023 2.0 update. Whether it's explaining the consequences of stealing or using your consumables for buffs, we have you covered in our detailed guide below.
There's No Such Thing As "Stealing"
See a drink you want? How about a gun? Take anything and everything you see in Night City. All loot is for the taking. While you can find a lot just by playing main jobs and side jobs, you may still want to buy items from shops to get crafting schematics earlier or for a rare or even Iconic weapon.
Almost All Side Quests have Automatic Payouts
When you finish a job you'll automatically be paid for the job unless there's a specific task listed on the right under the mission name telling you to do something to collect your reward. If you feel like you weren't actually rewarded for what you did (like with an NCPD Reported Crime) you might actually have another step in the quest. Double check your journal to see if you're missing something.
Use Your Consumables For Buffs
Want some extra stamina? How about a small boost to your speed? Take a look at what consumables you've collected during your adventures in Night City to see what options you have. Just don't forget to use them
Clothes Matter
Each piece of clothing comes with its own stats! Be sure to change up your look often as you expand your wardrobe so you can get the best armor rating and perks. Don’t worry about looking ridiculous, it’s a first person game anyway.
You Can Get Hacked and Overheat
Overheating can occur when you’re being hacked. This can only happen if you’re in an enemy’s line of sight or a camera’s line of sight. Shoot or disarm nearby cameras or get away before the overheating bar fills.
Alternatively, if you know who is hacking you, killing them should do the trick! Doing any of these aforementioned steps will stop the hack from completing and keep your HP in tact.
One way to combat this is to unlock the I Spy perk. Located in the Intelligence > Quickhacking part of the skill tree, I Spy is a level 1 perk that reveals an enemy netrunner when they’re attempting to hack you.
Use Your Car and Home Storage
Not quite ready to use a weapon but don't want to keep it in your metaphorical pockets? Store it in V's car! Call it over, approach the trunk, and you can access V's stash. You can also store items at V's stash at home. Some special Iconic weapons are displayed on the wall when they're stored in the home stash.
