Basics
Basics
Hulk is a relatively simple game. You play as both Bruce Banner and his alter ego, The Hulk. As Banner, you'll have to sneak around and avoid being caught, simply because you're too puny to put up a good fight. As the Hulk, you'll forgo any puzzles and simply beat the snot out of a variety of humans, mutants, and giant dogs.

Playing as Banner
Banner is limited in what he can do. He's a scientist, not a fighter. You'll need to use him in about 20% of the game, though, so you must learn to use him wisely if you hope to survive.
Banner can punch, crouch, roll, and grab enemies. He is a weak fighter, however. Your goal is to always avoid being seen, so you don't have to show off your lack of fighting prowess. Banner can do a few things the Hulk can't, however, which makes him invaluable in some situations. The double B can toggle switches, move crates (grab and move the analog stick), and hack code. Some doors require a mini-game code hack to pass, that's what Banner's best at. This hacking is explained in the walkthrough.
Sometimes you will get caught. Anytime Banner is spotted, all enemies in the area will converge on his location. You have two options: Defeat them or exit the area. If you can leave the area, do so. Otherwise, your best bet is to hide and then attempt to stealth kill your enemies by sneaking up behind them and pressing the grab button. Rolling into enemies (move forward and hit the crouch button) will knock them down and give you a few seconds to run. In general, if you get caught, you're screwed.
Playing as Hulk
You know the drill: Hulk smash! That's pretty much all you need to worry about. The Hulk doesn't have any complex puzzles to solve. The majority of the Hulk levels involve bashing enemies as you attempt to move from room to room.
The key to succeeding as Hulk is to keep moving. Hulk may be big and strong, but he's not slow. The big bruiser has a bevy of attacks, but the most effective tends to be the air punch (jump, hold the button until you're ready to attack, and press punch). But, really, all of Hulk's attacks, from grabs to his rage moves can get the job done. But keep moving, even if you're trapped in a small room. Standing still makes you far too easy of a target and allows enemies to swarm you.
Use the environment as much as possible. Bash everything you see to create usable debris. Pick up pipes, girders, and boulders and smack your opponents with them for maximum damage.
The essence of Hulk is destruction. That's your goal. Destroy everything and everyone. It's fun and it's effective.
Power-ups
There are three types of power-ups found in the game. Green orbs are health, red increase your rage (only found in Hulk levels), and blue give you extra continues. Every enemy drops either health or rage, so always run by their fading corpses to get the goodies. Continues are hidden in little nooks in levels and can also appear after destroying objects. Destroy everything. Got it?
