Robberies can be undertaken at any time. Players can find stores to rob by looking at the map for the nearest icon. To actually rob the store, you must simply point your gun at the clerk and they will slowly fill a bag with money.

Players can also shoot their gun off around the clerk to speed him up, or alternatively they can yell into their microphone to speed up the process. Once you have the money, leave the store and escape the cops to finish the robbery. These will not always go smoothly though, as sometimes the clerk may pull their own gun, or the cops will show up quicker than usual.

To help escape quickly from the LSPD it is advisable to wear a mask?(This can be found in your inventory menu)?before entering the store. Once you have completed the robbery remove your mask when you have left the store to lose 1 wanted star.

The robberies in GTA Online usually pay out a little bit more than the robberies in single player do. These robberies can be done alone or with friends, but only the player holding the gun on the clerk gets the money. In GTA Online, players are given the option to keep all the money they scored from a robbery, to give some of the money to people they pick from the session list (usually those who helped with the robbery would be a good choice, or to spread the money out amongst all the players in an active session. This can be done by accessing the interaction menu (press select) and choosing the appropriate options there.
