Bounties allow GTA Online players to offer cash rewards to other players for the assassination of rivals. They are unlocked after you reach Rank 10 and talk to Lester. The system is straightforward: if a player gets annoyed with someone else, they can place a Bounty on their head. If that player is then killed by someone else in the game, the killer will receive the reward. Keep in mind the bounty comes from your pocket, so any money offered will have to be paid from your wallet.

If a Bounty target manages to survive long enough, the bounty reward will instead go to them for surviving the duration of the bounty. If a player with a bounty on them leaves the session or GTA Online, the bounty will be active for the next session he/she joins.

Surviving Bounties: Strategy One: Get out of the city. ?There are always fewer players in the countryside, and it is easier to spot players on the hunt.?

Surviving Bounties: Strategy Two:?Players are highly unlikely to search for you in the sky. Fly out pretty far over the ocean, but keep an eye out for Fighter Jets and/or Attack Helicopters.

Surviving Bounties: Strategy Three:?It is always possible to seek refuge in your garage/apartment for the duration of your bounty. Just be sure not to be standing still for a long period of time (i.e. over 15 min.) or you will be kicked for idling.?

Surviving Bounties: Strategy Four:?In a pinch, you can also enter a mission, and wait for your assailants to get bored waiting and move along.

Stolen Car Bounties:?Once you talk to Lester and have bounties unlocked, you will start seeing the bounties update. If you steal a car, you will receive an anonymous threatening text message, and, moments later, a bounty will be placed on you. The more valuable the car, the higher the bounty (either $1000, $3000, $5000, $7000, or $9000).
