How to Get the Green Tunic
This part of IGN's Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wiki Guide will walk you through how to get the green tunic, also known as the Armor of the Wild, in BotW. There are six traditional green tunics in the game. Five of them you can unlock by scanning amiibo, with each one representing a different Zelda game. The Armor of the Wild, though, unlocks when you complete 120 Shrines.
Green Tunics Unlocked Through amiibo

- Armor of the Hero (The Legend of Zelda)
- Armor of Time (Ocarina of Time)
- Armor of Twilight (Twilight Princess)
- Armor of the Wind (The Wind Waker)
- Armor of the Sky (Skyward Sword)
Simply scan an Amiibo (you have to enable the Amiibo rune in options and then select the rune in-game and aim your marker) and you may get one of these tunics in a random drop. If you don't succeed, try again.
Armor of the Wild: BotW's New Green Tunic
Even though BotW bucks the Zelda trend of having Link wear a green tunic for the majority of the adventure, it wouldn't be a true Zelda game without one. However, it's very tough to acquire. This tunic can be obtained by completing the A Gift from the Monks side quest, which is unlocked upon completing all 120 of Breath of the Wild's Shrines. You can read more about it on our Gift from the Monks walkthrough.
