How to Get the Ember Headdress in TotK
You can find the Ember Headdress in the YunuboCo HQ South Cave just north of Marakuguc Shrine, which is generally used as the fast travel point for Goron City in Eldin.
A Blupee is just outside it, so look for the blue creature to be lead to the cave entrance. Before entering the cave, you'll need to have flame resistance, which is called Flame Guard in-game. The Flamebreaker set in Goron City offers this buff, but you can also make Fireproof Elixer from one of the nearby Fireproof Lizards by cooking it with a monster part.
The cave is fairly short, but cavernous. The treasure chest with the Ember Headdress is across the lava lake on the left. There are a few ways you can cross this obstacle.
- If you have an Opal or Sapphire, you can simply fuse one of these gems to a weapon or a magic rod. Then, attacking over the lava will create platforms. Keep making platforms until you reach the goal.
- Or, break the cracked rocks on the right to find water-producing Zonai devices and a car device. You can use Ultrahand to pull the car out of the cave, then attach the two wheels. (The platform with all four wheels attached is too big to pull out of the opening.)
Once you've made it accross the lava by any means necessary, you'll find the treasure chest in a small shrine.
Bubbulfrog!
Don't miss the Bubbulfrog in this cave. After you've collected the Ember Headdress, hug the wall on the right - it creates a small path safe from the lava to a small opening. Inside is a Bubbulfrog.

Ember Headdress Upgrades

All pieces of the Ember Armor Set will require the same materials to upgrade each. See the table below for the ingredients needed and defense bonus you can gain for each piece of armor.
- Upgrading each piece to level 2 will unlock the Set Bonus: Hot Weather Charge, which charges attacks faster in hot weather.
