How to Find the Cap of Twilight
In this Tears of the Kingdom guide, we will walk you through where to find the Cap of Twilight, including the Old Map location and the location of the treasure itself.
You can find the location of the Cap of Twilight in an Old Map found in the North Akkala Sky Archipelago.
Old Map is guarded by a Flux Construct II. The Sky Island can be found floating right above the right eye of Skull Lake in the Northern Akkala region. Its exact coordinates are 3285, 3444, 0794.
The treasure location it reveals is in the Depths below the Typhlo Ruins and is guarded by a King Gleeok. This is an absolutely formidable foe, and the chest will remain locked until you take down the beast, so make sure you are prepared for an epic battle.
The exact coordinates of the treasure are 0263, 3121, -0623.
Defeating King Gleeok
Defeating King Gleeok will be quite a feat, however, we are here to make your journey smoother. Therefore, for this battle, make sure to have high level bows and more than 150 arrows on your arsenal to defeat the monster quickly and efficiently.
King Gleeok's weak points will be his eyes, so be prepared to have Keese Eyeballs ready to attach to your arrows while shooting from the air.
You can avoid his elemental lasers by hiding behind the stone building located right from the entrance. From there take out a Zonai Spring to shoot you in the air and enter slow motion, giving you the necessary time to hit all his weak points. Remember, that slow motion takes chunks of your stamina, so make sure to also have upgraded stamina with two extra bars.
Rinse and repeat until its stamina reaches near 1/4. At 1/4th, he will rise up high up the sky and start shooting you with ice cones and lightning.
If he reaches such state, use recall on the ice cones or paraglide your way up through the gusts of wind on the surface caused by his lightning strikes.
To avoid this stage, you can drop a Zonai Spring on the spot, right before he wakes up from his stunned phase and attempt to shoot his weak points to bring him down in one jump.
Once defeated, the treasure will be free from gloom and you can safely open it to collect the cap of the Twilight.
