Last Epoch Temporal Sanctum Guide
Temporal Sanctum is Last Epoch's final Dungeon and offers an exclusive, powerful reward. Using Temporal Sanctum's unique Temporal Shift ability and Eternity Cache, you can upgrade unique items with Legendary Potential into legendary items with additional modifiers. This makes Temporal Sanctum the final step in many of your most important endgame crafts. This guide will walk you through Temporal Sanctum's mechanics and help you unlock the Legendary Potential of your items.
Temporal Sanctum Dungeon Ability: Temporal Shift
To navigate Temporal Sanctum's maze-like floors, you must take advantage of the Temporal Shift Dungeon ability. Temporal Sanctum exists within both the Ruined and Divine Eras. Temporal Shift will instantly warp you through time from one Era to the other. Each Era has different enemies and, importantly, walls.

Some walls within Temporal Sanctum only exist in one Era. If you find yourself at a dead end, use Temporal Shift. There may be a way forward in the other Era! You will have to frequently jump timelines to find your way through the Sanctum. Temporal Shift is also necessary to defeat the final boss and activate the Eternity Cache. More on these below.
Temporal Sanctum Boss: Chronomancer Julra
The boss of Temporal Sanctum is Chronomancer Julra, who you may recall encountering late in the campaign.
Julra has many dangerous attacks that deal void, lightning, and cold damage. Make sure these resistances are capped at 75% or as close as possible before tackling Temporal Sanctum!
You can deal with most of Julra's attacks by simply dodging and using defensive abilities. However, one particular attack requires Temporal Shift to avoid.
Julra will occasionally create a huge, clock-like purple symbol in the center of the arena. Symbols will fill the circle, moving clockwise. When the clock strikes 12 and the circle is complete, the symbol explodes, dealing loads of void damage. This attack one-shots many builds and applies four stacks of Doom, an ailment that deals void damage over time.
Thankfully, there is an easy way out. To avoid Julra's clock attack, use Temporal Shift to switch eras. Wait a few seconds, then Temporal Shift back to keep fighting.
Chronomancer Julra Drops
Julra drops pool of unique items you won't find anywhere else. However, each item requires a minimum Dungeon tier to drop. These are:
Julra drops | Minimum Dungeon tier to drop |
---|---|
Julra's Stardial | 1 |
Somnia | 2 |
Julra's Obsession | 3 |
Vessel of Strife | 4 |

Temporal Sanctum Rewards: The Eternity Cache
After defeating Chronomancer Julra, you will find the Eternity Cache. The Eternity Cache is the only way to upgrade unique items with Legendary Potential into legendary items. Temporal Shift to the Divine Era, then approach the Cache to activate it.
To create a legendary item you will need a unique item with at least one Legendary Potential and an exalted item with at least four affixes. Place both items into the Eternity Cache, then Temporal Shift to the Ruined Era. The Eternity Cache will consume your exalted item and transfer a number of affixes onto your unique item equal to the unique's Legendary Potential, creating a legendary item with all of the unique's previous properties, including level requirements.
