Minisub
Minisub is a Trevor mission in IGN's Grand Theft Auto 5 Walkthrough. This guide will highlight the main mission strategies and Gold Medal requirements needed to complete every main story mission. Drive to the sub location indicated on the map towards the large freighter. Once you arrive there, you have the option to to board the freighter ship and manually drop the Mini-sub OR shoot it down. In order to get the Gold, you'll have to retrieve the minisub WITHOUT boarding the ship.
GOLD MEDAL REQUIREMENT: "NO BOARDING"
To achieve this requirement, you'll need to release the Mini-sub without getting on the freighter ship. To do this, run to the other side of the ship where you can see the Mini-Sub.
Equip the Sniper Rifle and shoot at the cables holding it.
Once the Mini-sub is down, dive into the water and enter the Mini-sub and steer it to the waypoint so that Floyd can retrieve the submersible and place it on the truck.
From there, drive over to the next waypoint and then exit the vehicle to complete the mission.
