Cam Shea is the former Studio Lead for IGN in Australia. He's based in Sydney and has been writing professionally about games for well over two decades. Starting out as a freelancer in the late '90s he wrote for a number of gaming magazines in Australia before working full time on Hyper Magazine. He joined IGN in 2006 and has seen it grow and evolve an enormous amount. Back then, IGN was part of Fox Interactive Media, and very much operated in the shadow of MySpace (!). Cam loves games that surprise him, whether through innovative mechanics, striking visual design or any number of other factors. His favourite game of all time is Breath of the Wild, and he has also played Hearthstone daily since it was in alpha. Outside games, Cam finds Japan endlessly fascinating, loves anime (and animated films in general), is obsessed with sake and will never stop listening to dance music.
