Miner's Armor Set
The Miner's Armor Set is a brand new set of?Armor?in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. With the addition of new locations, such as the unforgiving Depths, this new armor set will be invaluable when venturing dark places.
The radiant attire is covered in layers of bioluminescent lamps, scattered all over to ease your journey inside the massive underground world. It features, a Miner's Top, Trousers, and Mask, all of which have their own bonus glowing effect upon wearing. Ironically, this Miner's armor set will require you to explore the Depths before you can make use of it's luminosity in such place.

Where to Find the Miner's Armor Set in TotK
Old Maps hidden in treasures throughout the Sky Archipelagos, usually mark you the spot for the location of armor pieces. However, even if you have not found the Old Maps, you can still head out to acquire the hidden armor pieces. The location of where these pieces are hidden vary, even if they are from the same armor set.
While the Depths can be a daunting task to explore, luckily the pieces of his armor set are all found in abandoned mines relatively near their closest Chasm entry points. There will be a few Lightroots necessary to make your search easier, but like the mines, the majority of them will be close to the chasm you five from the surface. However, best of all, these pieces are unguarded by enemies, so you will only need to fight the darkness until you reach the respective treasures.
To make navigation easier, make sure to bring some Brightbloom seeds, which are typically found in caves scattered throughout Hyrule. These will be essential as you reach key Lightroots to light your way. Some enemies might also drop some Brightbloom but scarcely, so it is recommended not to rely on such occasions.
Miner's Top
You can find the Miner's Top in the Daphne's Canyon Mines. The Mines are located west of the Iayusus Lightroot and north of the Great Abandoned Central Mines. To minimize the stumbles and endless Gloom that permeates the floor of the underground, enter the Depths through the Hyrule Field Chasm near the Jiosin Shrine on the surface.
The closest Lightroot to the this chasm entry will be the Nisoij Lightroot, which, fun fact, Lightroots are underneath shrines and their names are the same as their surface shrine, but spelled backwards!
This Lightroot will be located southeast from the Chasm entry point. As you descend, paraglide over south and follow the yellow light Lightroots emit in the dark.
The second Lightroot is located west from the Nisoij Lightroot with the latter emitting enough light to pave the way to the Iayusus Lightroot. From here, you can either start making your way west and descend to the Daphne's Canyon Mines or go south from Iayusus to light up the Nihcayam Lightroot to have a better view.
The third Lightroot is located south of the Iayusus Lightroot. While not necessary to make your way to the mines, it will allow you to walk your way to the treasure without too much stumble if you are running out of Brightbloom seeds.
Mines are usually located in an even deeper spot across the Depths. Fortunately, there are no enemies guarding the treasure, as with the rest of the pieces. Therefore, you can safely paraglide your way down to the mines and open the treasure located in the middle of the mines under a small stone building.
Miner's Trousers
The second piece of this armor is located in the Hylia Canyon Mine. The mines are located southwest of the Koradat Lightroot and southwest of the Great Abandoned Central Mine. Enter the from Great Plateau South Chasm located at the bottom right-hand corner of the Great Plateau.
The first Lightroot you will come across when diving to the Depths from this Chasm will be the Koradat Lightroot.
This Lightroot can be located as soon as you dive down and paraglide your way down northwest. As soon as you activate this Lightroot, paraglide down southwest of the Lightroot you just lighted up.
You can start paragliding down from the middle of the bridge that travels down the Lightroot to land exactly at the Hylia Canon Mine. As with the Miner's Top, the treasure will be located underneath a small stone building in the middle of the mines.
Miner's Mask
The Miner's Mask can be found at the Abandoned Kara Kara Mines. It is right next to the Tatayam Lightroot. Enter the East Gerudo Chasm that is located southeast of right as you enter the Gerudo Region territory. The Miner's Mask treasure will be sitting at the center of the Abandoned Kara Kara Mines.
The Chasm is located just southeast of the East Gerudo Ruins and south of the?Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower.
As soon as you enter the chasm, start turning around south to where the Siwakama Shrine is located on the surface. As previously mentioned, the Lightroot's names correspond to the shrine they are underneath, and their names are the backwards equivalent of them.
You will have to do a little bit of walking towards the Lightroot. Therefore, if you have the previous Miner's Armor pieces, it is best to equip them. In addition, make use of your Brightbloom seeds as you make your way to the Lightroot.
Another Lightroot recommended to light up is the Mihcihc Lightroot. This one will be located northwest from both the chasm and the first Lightroot.
The third lightroot, the Tatayam Lightroot, will be right beside the Abandoned Kara Kara Mines, so this one you definitely have to activate. As soon as you light up the Lightroot, head to the mines and the treasure will be located right in the middle of the mines. Once you get the treasure, you can stick around and find a nearby Steward Construct.
Now that you have all the pieces together, equip them all to make your way through the Depths less intimidating.
