Trousers of the Wind
The Trousers of the Wind are one of three armor pieces that make up the Armor of the Wind Set in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This is a returning armor set that was only obtainable via Amiibo in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. While this is still the case, you can also find the Trousers of the Wind hidden within the Depths of Hyrule if you’re brave enough to find them.
In this guide, we will tell you exactly where you can find the Trousers of the Wind, including their stats and upgrade requirements.
The Trousers of the Wind
Official description: Legends say these trousers were cherished by a hero who sailed the Great Sea. They’re water-resistant, naturally.

How to Get the Trousers of the Wind
There are two ways to get the Trousers of the Wind in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Scan the Smash Brothers Toon Link Amiibo
If you own the Smash Brothers Toon Link Amiibo, hold L to open your abilities wheel, then select the Amiibo icon. Get Link to an open area, then place your Amiibo near the NFC touchpoint on your Switch or controller, and you'll have the chance to unlock the Trousers of the Wind.
Where to Find the Trousers of the Wind
If you don’t have the right Amiibo, don’t worry! You can still find the Trousers of the Wind the old-fashioned way, by finding the treasure chest hidden in the Depths.
The Trousers of the Wind are hidden in a treasure chest found Cressia Pit Mine in the Depths. Cressia Pit Mine lies below the very tip of the sword formation near Lurelin Village.
Trousers of the Wind coordinates: 3794, -3618, -0446.
The fastest way to reach Cressia Pit Mine and get your hands on the Trousers of the Wind is to descend the Meda Mountain Chasm. You can find this chasm just north of Meda Mountain and the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower.
Meda Mountain Chasm coordinates: 2513, -2380, -0009.
After landing in the Depths, make your way southeast to find the Kotimab Lightroot. Activate this to illuminate the area around you and gather your bearings before setting off to the base of the sword to the south.
The sword is a funny shape, and it can be difficult to make your way around in the darkness of the Depths, so activating the Kotimab Lightroot to download the map information is a massive help.
Kotimab Lightroot coordinates: 3092, -3209, -0624.
Once you have reached the base of the sword, turn to the east and slowly work your way up to the tip. There are several monster settlements along the way. You can choose to take these guys on, especially if you need more Zonaite to boost your batteries. But if not, you can just run past them unnoticed to reach the treasure unharmed.
Once you reach the halfway point, you will enter the Cressia Pit Mine. Thankfully, it is unguarded by monsters so you can pretty much make a beeline to the treasure. It is, however underwater, so you will want to make a boat out of the Zonai devices lying around or that you have collected throughout your journey to make it to the end.
Once you make it to the tip, you will be rewarded with the treasure chest containing the Trousers of the Wind.
Trousers of the Wind Upgrade Requirements
The Trousers of the Wind cannot be dyed, but they can be upgraded at the Great Fairy Fountain. If you upgrade each piece of the Armor of the Wind Set twice and wear them all at once, you will unlock an Attack Up Set Bonus.
