Sword of the Hero

Sword of the Hero is a single-handed weapon in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This one could be one of the first special swords you get in the game, but beware, getting this sword requires a trip to The Depths or having a special amiibo by your side.

A sword once wielded by a hero in an ancient age. When it’s grasped, a strange sense of nostalgia washes over you. Take it when going alone would otherwise be dangerous.

Like many weapons that are in perfect condition, you will find this sword when exploring The Depths. The Sword of the Hero will be inside a chest near a giant hollowed tree (coordinates - 2044, - 1129, - 0546). You could also get this weapon by scanning the 8bit Link amiibo.
