The Glide Shirt is a piece of Armor in the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that offers improved mobility when gliding through the air. It can be found by completing a dive ceremony challenge on Courage Sky Island above Hyrule Ridge. It is also part of the Glider Set, which includes the following pieces:
- Glide Mask - Head Gear (Base Defense 2, Sell Value - 600)
- Glide Tights - Leg Gear (Base Defense 2, Sell Value - 600)

The cloth sewn to this shirt helps it "catch" air, increasing the wearer's ability to glide while plummeting from the sky. |
How to Get the Glide Shirt in TotK
Each piece of the Glider Set is located at a distinct type of Sky Island across Hyrule, that appear in the shape of several circular rings high in the air. Each is located not too far from a Skyview Tower, which is the easiest method to reach either the top or bottom of the island structure.
On the bottom platform of each island is a Steward Construct who will ask if you wish to participate in a dive ceremony. This will send you back to the top where you can interact with a device to jump through a ring and fall down through the ring islands.
By diving through each glowing green ring and surviving the fall, you will pass a test and be allowed to a second attempt to complete the ceremony in under 35 seconds. By completing the challenge, you'll be awarded one piece of the Glider Outfit at each island.
The Glide Shirt is located at Courage Island, just to the southwest of Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower in the Hyrule Ridge region, and is one of the easiest and earliest towers you’ll unlock.
If you look up in the sky once you fast-travel to this tower, you’ll spot Courage Island in the distance, which you can paraglide over to either the top island, or fall down to the lower one with the pool of water.
For this challenge, note the cluster of rocks in the middle of the rings, which will require you to manuever towards the middle to find a small spot to dive through and avoid crashing. Complete it in under 35 seconds to gain the armor piece.
Glide Shirt Upgrades
The Glide Shirt can be upgraded, and can also be dyed at the Dye Shop in Hateno Village. After you find and unlock the Great Fairy Fountains in Hyrule, you can bring them ingredients and a donation of rupees to increase the armor value of each piece of armor. All pieces of the Glider Set Armor will require the same materials to upgrade each. See the table below for the ingredients needed and defense bonus you can gain for each piece of armor.
- Upgrading each piece to level 2 will unlock the Set Bonus: Impact Proof, rendering you immune to fall damage from any height.
