Cap of Time
The Cap of Time is a piece of armor that is part of the Armor of Time Set. The Armor of Time Set is a returning Armor Set that used to be collected via Amiibo in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. While this is still the case in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it is also hidden in the Depths awaiting anyone brave enough to find it.
In this guide, we will give you all the information about the Cap of Time, including its location and upgrade requirements.

How to Get the Cap of Time
There are two ways to get the Cap of Time in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Scan the Link (Ocarina of Time) Amiibo
If you own the Link (Ocarina of Time) Amiibo, hold L to open your abilities wheel, then select the Amiibo icon. Get Link to an open area, then place your Amiibo near the NFC touchpoint on your Switch or controller, and you'll have the chance to unlock the Cap of Time!
Where to Find the Cap of Time
If you don’t have the Link (Ocarina of Time) Amiibo, all is not lost. The Cap of Time is also hidden within the Depths. Specifically, in the Sturdina Lavafalls area.
The Cap of Time is hidden inside a lone treasure chest sitting atop a rock pillar in the Depths of the Hebra region.
Cap of Time coordinates: -4079, 2799, -0450.
Even though the Cap of Time is found in the Depths beneath one of the coldest places in Hyrule, it is surrounded by waterfalls of lava, so the Flamebreaker Armor Set or some Flameproof Elixirs, at the very least, are required.
The fastest way to get to the Sherafin Lavafalls to find the Cap of Time is to fast-travel to the Nupisoyuat Lightroot. If you haven’t unlocked that one, the Muotue or Worihas Lightroots will do in a pinch, but they are much further away.
Nupisoyuat Lightroot coordinates: -4537, 2879, -0707.
Fast-travel to the Nupisoyuat Lightroot and make your way directly east to the Sturdina Lavafalls. This trip involves cutting right across the territory of a Colgera, but take advantage of the wind currents it creates to soar away from the beast and straight toward your treasure.
Once you reach the Lavafalls, hop off your glider and look toward the largest Lavafall. Beside it, you will see a large rock pillar, and atop it, the chest containing the Cap of Time.
Cap of Time Upgrade Requirements
You may not be able to dye the Cap of Time, but you can upgrade it. If you collect each piece of the Armor of Time Set and upgrade them twice, you can unlock the Attack Up Set Bonus.
