Suits and Power-Ups
Suits and Power-Ups are an essential part of any Super Mario experience and Super Mario 3D World provides a variety of new and familiar items.
| Super Star | Makes Mario faster and invincible for a short time. | |
| Mega Mushroom | Makes Mario mega-sized, destroying everything in his path.? | |
| Super Mushroom | Makes Mario larger. (Only applies when Mario is mini.) | |
| Fire Flower | Gives Mario the power to shoot fireballs. | |
| Boomerang Flower | Gives Mario the power to throw boomerangs. | |
| Super Leaf (Tanooki Suit) | Puts Mario in the Tanooki Suit to float during long jumps and spin his tail at enemies. | |
| Invincible Super Leaf | Gives Mario the Tanooki Suit and makes him invincible to attacks, but he can still fall to his death. | |
| Cannon Box | Gives Mario the power to shoot cannonballs at enemies. (Falls off at the end of level) | |
| Propeller Box | Allows Mario to fly up to hard-to-reach spots. (Falls off at the end of level) | |
| Super Bell (Cat Suit) | Puts Mario in the Cat Suit which allows him to climb walls, pounce, and use claws to attack enemies. | |
| Double Cherry | Clones Mario - can be multiplied by collecting multiple power-ups. | |
| Lucky Bell (Brown Super Bell) | Puts Mario in the Cat Suit which allows him to climb walls, pounce, and use claws to attack enemies, but also lets him transform into an invincible golden statue that produces coins by ground pounding (jump then press and hold ZL or ZR).? This particular suit is?distinguished by a collar with?bell around the character's neck and can be found in the special stages. | |
| | Kuribo's Skate | This allows you to skate in a shoe on icy surfaces. (Falls off if you hit a wall.) |
| Goomba Suit | Sometimes appear when you defeat Goombas on certain levels. ?Enemies won't notice you or chase you?when you go near them. |
