Checklists
How creative can you get with your first free checklist?
Day 1
The first day in Strange Horticulture is a tutorial where you will learn how to identify flowers using the Specimen Book and then give them to clients. During this day, you will receive five visits.
Letter From Simone
This game starts with a letter from Simone on your desk. In it, she tells you about her latest discovery and that she will be waiting for you in the library in Ambleside.?
However, before you can go and check what Simone found, you must fill up your "will to explore" meter. To do so, you can water your plants or successfully give clients the plant they want.
After you have enough "will to explore" points, open the travel menu and go to Ambleside (we marked the spot in the picture below, and the coordinates are C20).? ?

?Upon returning, you will have two new entries in your Specimen Book, one for the Gilded Dendra and another for the Wandering Bue. Remember that these are only entries in your book that will help you identify the plants, but you won't receive the plant's specimen.?
After you solve a clue or letter, it'll have a checkmark on it, and you can store it in the archives compartment of your drawer.?
Drawer Note
Now, if you pull the drawer on your desk's right, you will find a couple of items, like a map, labels, and the Specimen Book. In the letters compartment is a note containing information about a dangerous plant that grows northeast of Backbarrow.
Open the travel menu and go to M21. The exact location is in the picture below.
When you return, you'll have acquired a new plan specimen: Storian.
Victoria Gray's Request
Now use the call bell on the right side of the screen to call your first customer of the day, Victoria Gray. She will ask for a plant with bright red flowers and a yellow center called St John's Poppy. Below is a picture of the flower so you can quickly identify it.?
Letter From Amos Duncan
The second visit you receive will be the mailman with a letter from Amos Duncan. This letter hints you the location of a weird plant on the northeast corner of the woods south of Gosworth. Open your travel map and go to G5 as shown below:
You will come back with a new plant called Lady of Summer.

The third visit of the day will be Gilbert Ames, who offers you Phennet in exchange for Lemon Dandy, a plant with curly leaves and bright blue flowers. Below you will find what Lemon Dandy looks like.
Faye Swift's Request
Faye Swift is the next one to visit the shop. She wants Forest Camphry to help with her dreams. Here's what that plant looks like:
Nora Butterfield's Request
Next up is Nora Butterfield, who wants a fungus called Wandering Bue.?
Mysterious Card
Before ending the day, make sure you pick up the card lying on the shelves where the plants are. You can find the location in the picture below.

You will need this card to solve a puzzle later in the game.
Day One's Daily Card
After completing the first day, you will receive your first Daily Card. This one tells you to go to the third river (from left to right) in row H, which is the River Duddon. So go to the travel menu and travel to H11 as seen below.?
You will bring back with you a new plant specimen once you come back.
