Collectibles
IGN's Shadow of the Tomb Raider guide has collectible locations for every hidden item in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
In Shadow of the Tomb Raider players will have the option to customize the difficulty of combat, puzzles, and exploration. Lower difficulties will cause Lara to make more observations about her surroundings which act as hints for the player. These hints will make finding secrets and collectibles much easier, should players choose to use them.?
Below you'll find Links to the collection pages for each section of the map:

Types of Collectibles
There are many types of collectibles within Shadow of the Tomb Raider, this section will explain them.
Collectible | Description | Example Image |
---|---|---|
Explorer Backpacks and Archivist Maps | These items help you discover the rest of the collectibles, revealing the items on the map to make your job a little easier. | |
Base camps | These act as fast travel points throughout the world of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, as well as allow you to upgrade your skills and craft upgrades to your weapons and outfits. | |
Tombs | Challenge tombs offer a unique puzzle for Lara to take on. Once finished they unlock a special skill for her to use. | |
Challenges | Challenges can vary from collecting a specific flower to shooting down a strange hanging object. You'll have to often do this a number of times searching the open sections for these oddities. | |
Treasure Chests | Treasure Chests hold extremely rare relics, and are usually well hidden. You'll also need to get a lockpick to unlock them which isn't available until later in the game. | |
Crypts | Slightly less challenging than the Tombs, Crypts also offer small puzzles for Lara, and contain sarcophagi that will give Lara new blueprints for armor pieces. | |
Relics | Relics are objects scattered throughout the world often related to the civilizations past that lived there. Certain Relics will increase Lara's understanding of different languages. | |
Documents | These are supplemental reading materials found without the world that enrich the story or tell ones of their own. Certain documents will increase Lara's fluency in different languages. | |
Murals | Murals of ancient civilizations help Lara learn the language of the culture that built them, unlocking use of Monoliths as her knowledge increases. | |
Survival Caches | These can often be hard to find without an Explorer's Backpack, but Caches can be valuable in materials and experience for Lara once found and dug up. | |
Monoliths | Once able to be read when Lara's fluency is up to par, Monoliths reveal a nearby hidden Survival Cache with a short riddle to solve. | |
