Major Decisions
As any Telltale game goes, Minecraft: Story Mode comes with many key decisions that will affect the gameplay in future situations and scenarios. Each chapter contains five key decisions.
Episode 1: The Order of the Stone
Chapter 1

After being cornered by enemies, you have to decide what to do with Ruben.
- Run! I'll distract them. - Picking this option will cause Ruben to scamper off. But fear not! Ruben will return in Chapter 3 when you get to the butcher's shop!
- Stay close, I'll protect you. - With this option, Ruben will stay by your side in this chapter and the next, but he will get a black eye. When you get to butcher's shop in Chapter 3, Ruben will disappear and the same situation as the other option will play out.
Chapter 3
Once you make it out of the library under, you have to decide what to do next.
- I'm going after Lukas myself. - Picking this option will have you return to the library where you'll find Lukas hiding in a treasure chest. Distract the Golem by throwing the potion next to you at the wall. Lukas will be with you from here on out. Return upstairs to see Ivor approach Gabriel.
- Let's get Gabriel together. - With this option, you'll be able to push through the crowd to talk to Gabriel yourself. After a few quick words, Ivor will appear. Lukas will return once you make it outside.
Just before entering the portal, Gabriel and Petra are about to get sucked into the beast.
- Save Gabriel - Picking this option will bring Gabriel down to the ground. Gabriel will appear in Episode 2 again.
- Save Petra - With this option, Petra will drop to the ground, but you'll soon be hit into the portal. Petra or Gabriel do not appear for the rest of Episode 1.
Chapter 5
Lukas is on the verge of leaving the group.

- That's probably best. - Picking this option will result in Lukas leaving. He will come back in the morning after the rain.
- You're staying with us. - With this option, you get exactly what you asked for. Lukas will stay with you for the remainder of the episode.
Chapter 6
It's time to decide which hero you'll be go after in the next episode.
- Choose Magnus. - This will determine where you go in the next episode. This also means you'll be going with Axel and leaving Olivia.
- Choose Ellegaard. - This will determine where you go in the next episode. This also means you'll be going with Olivia and leaving Axel.
