A Trial of Archery
A Trial of Archery is a side quest in Dragon's Dogma 2 where you can see the fruits of Glyndwr's training. Since this quest also leads you to obtain the Archer Maister skill, it's definitely worth completing. This guide explains how to start the quest, as well as completing it and your rewards for doing so.
How to Start A Trial of Archery
Much like Glyndwr's previous quest, Gift of the Bow, you can start this quest by finding Glyndwr in Vernworth. This quest will automatically be added to your quest log as Glyndwr invites you to join him for his Trial of Archery.

How to Complete A Trial of Archery
As with Glyndwr's previous quest, he wants you to meet him near the ruins before he escorts you to his home in Sacred Arbor. Leave Vernworth from the western gate once again and follow the path northwest until you reach Glyndwr's location, at a campfire near his previous training ground. From here, follow him to Sacred Arbor, where he'll enter the building on the west side.
Glyndwr will learn that the Trial is on hold because his sister was kidnapped by an ogre. You'll need to go save her from the ogre's lair, which is a short trip to the east of the settlement. Despite the urgency of the situation, it's safe to rest at the inn before setting out. There's also an apothecary and armory, so be sure to prepare adequately before setting out.
Head east out of the settlement, crossing the large tree bridge that you followed Glyndwr across on your way in. Then head north down the spiraling stairs. Continue northwest once you reach the bottom to discover a cave with Glyndwr standing outside.
Head inside after the scene and clear out the cave. You'll be fighting Goblins and Harpies. Eventually you'll reach a larger chamber where the Ogre is waiting. Glyndwr insists that you carry his sister to safety, but if you feel ready for it you can fight the Ogre.
Whether you ran or not, Glyndwr will shoot out some rubble to create a shortcut out of the cave. You'll then skip to regrouping outside the entrance, where Glyndwr thanks you for saving his sister. His father also thanks you, in addition to commending his son for his part in the rescue, insisting that he approves of Glyndwr using whatever weapons he needed to overcome the pressure to succeed in his trial.

As a reward, you'll receive 16,000 G, a Portcrystal (which you can place somewhere in the world and teleport to using a ferrystone) and a Repeller Bow. Glyndwr also mentions that his father is an Archery Maister, and may be willing to teach you his techniques.
Indeed, if you return to Taliesin at Sacred Arbor after a night's rest, he'll simply hand Heavenly Shot, the Archery Maister skill, to you.
