Red Dead Online's latest update titled Blood Money appears to have added an unexpected glitch into the game - rogue horses that are either endlessly running around while causing chaos or showing up dead in random parts of the game's world.
As reported by Kotaku, the Blood Money update is just a smaller one that adds new multi-stage robbery missions and a fresh Outlaw pass to level up, but players soon began noticing these aforementioned horses acting quite strangely. What even stranger is that these horses appear to be player-owned since many of them are sporting nice saddles and accessories.
Some players are even reporting that they have found clones of their own horses out in the middle of RDO's map. In another instance, one horse saved a player who looked very much like Fat Albert from rolling down a hill to his death.
Why is this happening? Some theories point to a bug involving the in-game stables. When you enter a stable, you can sometimes see your horse running out of it during a cutscene. Other theorists claim it could have something to do when players leave their horses unattended when they are disconnected.
Either way, these renegade horses will most likely soon be patched out of RDO, but their mark on the game's world will live on forever.
With a game as big as Red Dead Online, glitches are bound to happen. In 2019, we spoke to a group of players who were trying to test the limits of the game and work their way into entirely new regions of RDO. Video games are wonderful, aren't they?
