Fantasy Strike
Release: Summer 2018Sirlin Games' deep yet accessible fighting game Fantasy Strike was announced Nintendo Switch and will be released for the platform this summer. The game is currently available on PC via Steam Early Access, and a PS4 version will also launch this summer.
Just Shapes & Beats
Release: Summer 2018Just Shapes & Beats is a co-op music-based bullet-hell game that supports up to four places. The game will feature a full story mode on Switch when it launches this summer.
Garage
Release: May 10, 2018 (First on Switch)Garage, a new top-down shooter from tinyBuild Games, sees players battling against the living dead in a dark underworld setting inspired by B-Movies. Nintendo Switch owners will be able to dive into the action when the game launches first on Switch this spring.
Pool Panic
Release: 2018 (Switch Console Exclusive)Pool Panic, which Adult Swim Games describes as "the world's least realistic pool simulator," will be released for Switch as a console exclusive—as well as for PC via Steam—later this year. The game, which supports local multiplayer for up to four people, features over 100 different levels where everything is a big game of wacky cartoon pool.
Bomb Chicken
Release: Summer 2018 (First on Switch)Bomb Chicken, a platforming puzzle-action game that sees players laying bombs to solve puzzles and escape dangerous situations, launches first on Switch this summer. The game will also be released this year for PC via Steam.
Lumines Remastered
Release: Spring 2018A remastered version of the popular PSP puzzle game Lumines is making its way to Switch. Lumines Remastered will launch this spring, complete with HD rumble support. In addition to Switch, the game will also be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Reigns: Kings and Queens
Release: Spring 2018Reigns: Kings and Queens, a collection of both Reigns and Reigns: Her Majesty, is coming to Nintendo Switch this spring. Developer Nerial's medieval strategy game will feature local co-op as a Switch-exclusive feature.
Light Fall
Release: Spring 2018Bishop Games' platforming adventure Light Fall will be released for Nintendo Switch this spring. The game, which sees players platforming by manipulating a magical box, will feature a speed run mode, allowing you to race against your friends. Light Fall was announced a few years ago for PC. West of Loathing
Release: Spring 2018 (Switch Exclusive)West of Loathing, a Wild West role-playing adventure featuring stick figures and slapstick comedy was announced for Nintendo Switch. The game will be released exclusively for Nintendo's console this spring and will feature optional turn-based combat.
Pode
Release: Spring 2018Pode, a co-op exploration puzzle game inspired by Norwegian art and culture, was unveiled for Switch and will release for the platform this spring. In it, players will control two unlikely travel companions as they work to solve various puzzles on their adventure.
The Messenger
Release: Summer 2018The Messenger, a game that transforms from an 8-bit platformer into a 16-bit time-traveling adventure, was unveiled for Nintendo Switch. The title, which puts players in the shoes of a ninja, will be released for Nintendo's console this summer. The Messenger is also slated for release this year for PC via Steam.
Bad North
Release: Summer 2018Bad North, a real-time tactics roguelite where players must defend their home against a viking invasion, was unveiled for Nintendo Switch and will be released for the console this summer. The title is also slated to launch for other consoles, PC, and mobile this year.
Banner Saga 1, 2, and 3
Release: Banner Saga 3 - Summer 2018; Banner Saga 1 & 2 - "Coming Soon"Stoic's fantasy role-playing series Banner Saga is making its way to Nintendo Switch. Banner Saga 1 and Banner Saga 2 are "coming soon" to Nintendo's console, with Banner Saga 3 set to arrive this summer.
Hyper Light Drifter
Release: Summer 2018Abylight Studios' " action adventure RPG which features intense action, other-worldly environments and a captivating storyline" will be coming to the Switch later this year after a release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2016. IGN's Hyper Light Drifter review called it "a joy to play."
Nidhogg 2
Nidhogg 2, the fighting game sequel which released in 2017, is also confirmed for a Switch release in 2018. IGN's Nidhogg 2 review said the game had "all the emergent chaos, thrilling close-calls, and epic comebacks of the first Nidhogg, with a little extra."Crashlands
During a GDC presentation which IGN attended, Nintendo confirmed indie game Crashlands would be released for the Nintendo Switch.Today's Nindies Showcase comes shortly after Nintendo's latest Direct, which featured no shortage of exciting announcements, including Super Smash Bros. for Switch.
