Tiny Death Star, Star Wars Assault Team Pulled

Disney has removed two of its recent mobile Star Wars games, Tiny Death Star and Star Wars Assault Team, from the iOS App Store and Google Play.

Sources tell Pocket Gamer that both games were removed permanently, and that the move was to free up Disney and Lucasfilm to focus their efforts on other games. The recent Star Wars Commander was mentioned as an example of a higher priority game. Both games had been available for less than a year.

Ian Marsh of Tiny Death Star developer Nimblebit said he wasn't warned of the removal. "My assumption is they don't feel it is worth it to maintain the game any longer," he said. He also said it was "a significant source of revenue for us, so it stings that much more."

You can still play both games if you own them, and if you've purchased them on iOS you can re-download them from your Purchased tab.
