Famicom Mini Box: Phase 2

Nintendo Japan prepared an awesome promotion for the first round of Famicom Mini titles (the Japanese version of the Classic NES series). Residents of Japan who purchased all ten of the initial Famicom Mini games and registered the titles at the Club Nintendo website were rewarded with a special collection box to house their new games. Outside of Club Nintendo, there was no way to get this box, making it a hot item on international auction sites like eBay.

So now comes round two of the Famicom Mini program, with ten new titles already out at Japanese retail. Nintendo revealed today a new promotion centered on these titles. Similar to the first promotion, Japanese residents who purchase all ten new titles and register them at the Club Nintendo site receive at no cost (not even shipping and handling!) a special box designed to house all ten titles. This new box is white instead of the original's red.

The promotion for the new collectors' box ends 7/30, meaning those who want this awesome showpiece will have to buy all the new Famicom Mini games and register them at the Club Nintendo website by then.
