V Rising Update Roadmap 2023
V Rising had quite the exciting first year, but the fun isn't over with just yet. A massive free content update for V Rising is in the works for 2023, promising not only to add new regions to explore, enemies to beat, or V Blood carrier bosses to steal powers from, but a slew of quality-of-life changes that will make all the difference.
The date for this 2023 free content update for V Rising is still unannounced, and the contents of its release may be subject to change. On this page of IGN's V Rising wiki guide, you can find a roadmap for all the content planned to release in V Rising in 2023.
V Rising Roadmap 2023 Overview
The developers for V Rising have a massive wishlist for what they aim to accomplish with their next major content patch. While all of these items and fixes might not make it into the first update to release, these are all things you can potentially look forward to seeing in V Rising in 2023:

Multiple Castle Floors
Have multiple floors to your castle is something that V Rising players have been longing for some time. As it stands currently, you cannot build your castle vertically. This has forced players to make their castles wider rather than taller, and has resulted in busy servers being overcrowded with sprawling castles.
Prototypes have been made for castles with multiple floors for the next V Rising expansion, and it seems likely that this feature could be a key part of the free content release in 2023 if not sometime in the near future.
New Quartz Mining Area and Glassmaker
Quartz appears to be taking a bigger chunk of the material spotlight in the planned V Rising expansion. Not only will Quartz nodes have an improved visual look, but you can expect to find new areas with more Quartz deposits in the future.
We might even get a new NPC with a focus on quartz: a master glassmaker and her artisan glass shop.
New V Blood Carrier Boss and Enemies

Would it truly be a new content update without some new bosses and enemies to sink our fangs into? Concept art for an unnamed V Blood carrier boss has been teased by V Rising developers, plus some designs for new enemies.
New Marketplace
That's right, with this V Rising free content expansion, vampires might finally get their opportunity to join in on the free market system. Vendors running Marketplace stalls are planned to pop up across Vardoran. These vendors will be places where you can trade coins for rotating goods such as Gems or even recipes.
The introduction of the Marketplace could be a gamechanger for V Rising, helping to speed up the process of researching new recipes. Not all Marketplace vendors will be friendly to you, however. Some Marketplace vendors in regions such as Dunley will not sell their wares to you unless you are in disguise.
New Jewel System and Spell School
You can expect to see a lot of changes to your spell schools in the next V Rising expansion for 2023. This will not only likely include the addition of a whole new spell school, but the addition of a "Jewel" system. This would allow players to craft Jewels that could then be added to unlock new perks for your spells. The implentation of the Jewel system, plus some updates on all spell schools across the board, should allow for new combinations and effects across different spells.
New Electric Technology
New conceptual art from the V Rising development team seems to hint that we could see some new electric technology being included with the 2023 expansion. Between images of electrified trasmitter towers and well-lit castle windows with old-school electrical conductors, it appears that electricity might factor into crafting and building in the V Rising content update.

New Region
It only makes sense that a new region should be introduced alongside a major content update such as the one the V Rising development team has planned for 2023.
No news has been announced yet on what this new region might look like or where it will be located, but we know that visiting this region will only add to the numbers of talents and magic you can harness in-game. It is likely that this new region might have some connection to the addition of electric technology hinted at in the December 2022 V Rising developer update.
Fixes and Quality of Life Improvments
For those wondering whether the V Rising 2023 expansion will only add new content, without improving any of the existing content in-game, don't fret. The team behind V Rising has a long list of fixes and other improvements planned to release either alongside the 2023 free content update or at a later date.
Improvements to inventory management are currently being tested, as are fixes to certain game features such as being able to see your clock from within your coffin, not being able to see through enemy walls with the fade-out system, and implementing a fix to allow time to pass on private servers without servers actively running.
A hodgepodge of small quality of life updates are hopefully making their way to V Rising in 2023 as well, from being able to sit in chairs, turn your lights on and off, name your castle, place signs, build secret doors and passageways, and even allowing you to interact with the servants in your castle.
V Rising 2023 Server Wipe
Will the V Rising servers be wiped when the 2023 expansion is launched? Yes, in order to play the latest version of the game, all servers will need to be wiped in order to update with the latest map and other new features. This server wipe will include Official V Rising and private servers alike.
