Tingle's and Knuckle's Challenges

If you're playing the original Wind Waker on GameCube and you've got a GBA [with no game cartridge inserted] hooked up to your system via a GBA/GCN Cable, you can call Tingle or Knuckle, his brother (equip the Tingle Tuner and hit the button you assigned it to), and play several mini challenges.

Windfall Island

• Stand in front of the post box: Do as he says (the GBA player has to press the A button)
• Find the first bench: It's on the right side of Windfall main street near the Potion shop
• Find the second bench: left of the Café, looking out at the ocean.
• Find the third bench: near the school and Lenzo's photo atelier.
• Plant a Bomb?in front of the jail: simply stand in front of the door leading to the room you found Tingle in (but don't enter) and have Tingle put down a Bomb.

Your reward for all the running is 20 Rupees?(and a bit of respect from Tingle).

• Windfall Island

Land on the school's awning to get a discount on Tingle's items.?Think Tingle's prices are too high? Use the Deku Leaf?to float to the striped awning of the school from the Windmill walkway and Tingle will drop the price of on the Tingle Ballon, Shield, and Koloo-limpah by 10 Rupees.

• Outset Island

Complete Knuckle's scavenger hunt to get the Hand-Me-Down Tingle Tuner.

If you've got a GBA connected while on Outset Island, you get to meet Tingle's brother, Knuckle. Just walk around for a while and he'll contact you with a scavenger hunt challenge. You have to find the following places:

• Outdoor bath: Near your grandma's house, close to the rock wall.
• The ladder that nobody uses: It's the small ladder leading into the water at the foot of Aryll's watchtower.

• The largest rock at the top of the mountain; near the broken bridge. Not the rock you jump off from, but the one closer to the cliff.
• Leap of faith below the rope bridge: Hang from the ledge where once the rope bridge began. Drop down to the rock below (not the tall rock pillar, the lower area between the pillar and the cliff).

As a reward, you will get the Hand-Me-Down Tingle Tuner. You won't see it on your item screen in the GameCube game -- only on the GBA. Use it to call up Knuckle anytime and buy item or potion refills. It's handy when you run out of magic energy or Bombs.

• Forsaken Fortress:

Stand in the large pot in the room with all the Miniblins to get a discount on Tingle's Tings. For more information, check the Forsaken Fortress walkthrough section.

• Tower of the Gods:

Collect all five Pages of Legend to read about Tingle's background inside the tower's main hall. The pages are scattered throughout the tower, so follow the step-by-step instructions in the Tower of the Gods main walkthrough to find them.

Once you have finished Knuckle's challenge, he will appear in the flower patch on Tingle Island.
