Pirate Ship Walkthrough

The time has come for Link to leave home. With his new Hero's Sword?and Hero's Shield?in hand, you are leaving to rescue your sister. You can explore the ship freely and talk to any of the pirates (including the one high up in the outlook/crow's nest). When you're done, enter the cabin through the door on deck. You can't go into the captain's quarters yet, so go downstairs. Roll into the walls to get some Rupees?from pots, then go into the next room. Talk to Niko the cabin boy; he'll tell you how to swing from rope to rope.

Step on the switch to raise the platforms, then jump to one of the ropes and start swinging by pushing up and down on the stick. To stop swinging and change the direction you're facing into, just press and hold the R button. You can also climb up and down the rope this way. To jump from a rope, press A. Cross the room this way and meet up with the pirate. Open the treasure chest to get the Spoils Bag.

This bag can carry up to eight different types of collectibles that you can steal or win from opponents. Break the barrels for Rupees, then head back outside. Land is in sight!

Climb up the mast to meet up with Tetra. You have arrived at the Forsaken Fortress. Watch the cutscene -- and before long you'll find yourself being shot into the Forsaken Fortress: small, scared, and without a Sword.
