Picto Box

The Picto Box?is an in-game camera predominantly used for side-quests. In the Wii U HD re-releases, the item?received significant upgrades. The upgraded camera can still be used to snap photos of unsuspecting villagers or enemies, but now it can hold 12 (instead of 3) and those pictures can be posted on the Wii U's Miiverse. Link can also take self-photographs. Players can switch between happy, sad, and surprised emotions before they take a snapshot. And it’s easy to see Miiverse contributors create moments to share online.

How to Get the Picto Box

Requirements: Crawl through the maze behind Tingle's cell

You find this black and white camera fairly early on in the game. It is used entirely for sidequests. Talk to Lenzo and follow the instructions in the Picto Box Quest to get the most out of the camera.

You can delete existing shots by pressing R (GCN) or X (Wii U) when in album mode.

Note that in order to complete more advance sidequests, you need the color version of the camera, called the Picto Box Deluxe. In the Wii U version, you simply have to finish the Picto Box Quest and take three photos on Windfall Island. In the original GameCube version, you had to also complete a fetch quest and deliver a Forest Firefly, which Lenzo needed to upgrade the camera.
