Nintendo Gallery and Figurines
The Nintendo Gallery, operated by Carlov, is a unique shop hidden on a small island right next to F-6: Forest Haven. Using color photos snapped with the Deluxe Picto Box, you can have figurines created of every person or creature you photograph on your quest.
Make sure you have at least one Hyoi Pear in your Bait Bag. Go to the Deku Forest and use the flower buds and make your way up all the way to the top. Instead of flying down to the platform with the arrow, go into the other direction and hover across to the tallest flower, then use it to get up even higher and float to the second exit.
You will be outside (as seen in the above picture, to the right). Change the wind direction to the northeast, then hover across to the small island. Talk to the artist and take out one of the seagull fruit known as Hyoi Pears. Use the seagull to trigger the crystal switch in the rock wall. This will make the hatch open on the island you're standing on and the ladder drop from the trees. The ladder is there so that you can visit easily with your boat in the future.
The Nintendo Gallery is a fun challenge for returning players who have already finished the quest once as the figurines carry over, but you can actually get all the figurines the first time through as well. You can start collecting figurines as soon as you've gotten the Deluxe Picto Box (color version). Basically, any picture of a character you take is turned into a collectible figurine here, including friendly characters, enemies, and bosses. You can submit multiple photos per day. The figures are then displayed in themed rooms behind the gallery doors. You can look at a figurine by pressing A and manipulate the camera and zoom with the two analog sticks.
WARNING! ONE-TIME PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
- Big Octo:?Take a picture of one of the creatures before you've defeated them all.
- Zephos & Cyclos:?Get sucked into the tornado and look up to take the picture. Once you've shot down Cyclos with your Bow, you can't get the photo anymore.
- Phantom Ganon:?Appears in the Forsaken Fortress and then in seven battles in Ganon's Tower.
- Helmaroc King:?The bird boss on top of the Forsaken Fortress (second visit) won't return after the battle.
- Kogoli:?Take this Rito's picture before going to the Earth Temple.
- Mighty Darknut:?There are two chances to get a snapshot of this monster:?once in the battle in the castle basement, and again on the stairwell leading up to the fight with Ganon. (Note that this figurine monster has a cape, as other "Mighty Darknuts" don't.)
- Tetra?(and the pirates): Take the picture when Tetra follows you into Hyrule Castle.
- Red Wizzrobe:?This Wizzrobe is the Wind Temple's Mini boss;?that is your only chance to get it.
- Puppet Ganon:?You only have one chance to get a snapshot of this marionette. The below listings are separated by rooms. The painted doors in the gallery correspond with these themes.
