D-7: Two-Eye Reef
Two-Eye Reef
Items: Treasure Chart 13, Triforce Shard 8 (GameCube Version), Piece of Heart 44 (Wii U Version)
Requirements: Bombs?(for Treasure Chart), Triforce Chart (for Triforce Shard), Treasure Chart 46 (For Piece of Heart 44)
There are loads of hidden treasures around this reef, so come here at night if you need some Rupees. Once you have rescued your sister from the Forsaken Fortress, the reef's defense system will turn on. First, destroy the gunboats, then track down and blow up all of the cannons that line the reef's inside walls with your boat's cannon.
When they're all destroyed, a treasure chest will appear at the center of the reef. Sail to the reef entrance and walk up the ramp. Find a high point (like the one shown below), change the direction of the wind and float over to the rock island to claim your prize.
The treasure chest contains Treasure Chart 13. Don't bother hovering over to the other, taller rock. There's nothing on it.
Sail to the south of the reef and climb up on the watchtower. If you need pendants, steal as many as you want from the guards and defeat the birds. Melt the ice on the pots to get some Rupees and open the treasure chest for a Purple Rupee (Red Rupee, in the GameCube version).
If you haven't found the hidden fairy in this sector yet, scan the horizon for seagulls and sail in close. The Big Octo will soon appear and try to suck you in. Use your cannon, Boomerang, or arrows to blast out the Big Octo's eyes.
When they're all gone, a fairy will appear and increase your magic meter. This means you can finally finish the flight challenge in sector G-2: Flight Control Platform!
