Where to Find the Soldier's Armor Set in TotK
While originally sold in Hateno Village in Breath of the Wild, the armor has now been placed in chests located deep within a cave under Hyrule Castle, known as the Royal Hidden Passage. There are multiple points of entry into this cave, and it includes some very high level enemies, as well as a buried Stalnox miniboss.
Royal Hidden Passage Entrance 1
- One of the easier entries is located below the toppled statue in the Observation Room, which is located past the First Gatehouse. Follow the road then look over the ledge toward Hyrule and you'll spot a balcony below. Glide down and enter to find a room with a guard called Nobiro. To get into the passage, use Ultrahand on a floor grate.
Upon entering, turn around from the ladder and you'll find a treasure chest with a diamond!
Royal Hidden Passage Entrance 2
- Another entrance is not far away in a passage next to the Guard's Chamber, but you'll need to get past several Black Horriblins, and another waits below.
Royal Hidden Passage Entrance 3
- The easiest path will appear only after you have completed one of the main Regional Phenomena main quests, and return to the Emergency Shelter below Lookout Landing. Part of the wall will break allowing passage to the opposite end of the Royal Hidden Passage.
If journeying from the Hyrule Castle entrances, the Soldier's Armor can be found in a stone room buried in rubble, located after passing a larger root-filled cave with an Electric Like. Head down the slope and destroy the rubble to enter the stone room.
In the corner of the room is a boulder you can move to find a hole to drop in, and move along the passage to Ascend up the other side behind the bars to find a chest with the Soldier Armor.
The Soldier's Helm is in the middle of the cave system in a large underground lake directly below the Central Square, and features another stone room covered in rubble on the east side of the water.
Destroy the rubble and head into the water-logged room to defeat an Ice Like guarding the chest with the Soldier's Helm.
The Soldier's Greaves are closer to the Lookout Landing entrance, located south of the large underground lake. As you pass a smaller path above another pool of water, look for another stone room entrance covered in a ton of rubble.
Once inside, defeat the Like Like guarding the chest on the left to gain the Soldier's Greaves.
