How to Get The Kero Sewers Secret Chest
Early in Super Mario RPG, you'll enter the Kero Sewers, and you may get a little frustrated when you notice a high platform near the end of the sewers that has a floating treasure chest you can't reach.
It's important that you don't waste time trying to get to this secret chest in the Kero Sewers, as it's not meant to be reached at this point in the game. In fact, you'll find a way to reach much later when in the Land's End Region.
However, it is still technically possible to reach the chest, but to do so, you'll need to lure one of the floating Boo enemies nearby close to the platform, engage it in battle, and then run away. This will cause the Boo to flash for a few moments before it can be fought again, and in that moment you can use it as a platform. However, even reaching the chest early will give a Flower Tab as a reward, but this is not the true reward, and the warp pipe will not allow you to sequence break.
How to Reach the Kero Sewers Secret Chest Normally
To reach the chest by normal means, you'll need to continue your adventure all the way to Land's End, and head to the area where you can partake in a large Sky Bridge minigame leading to the desert region.
If you jump down below the Sky Bridge, you can find a cave embedded in the walls under the bridge, leading to several tunnels.
By taking these tunnels, you can find a springboard in the second tunnel room that will lead all the way back to the Kero Sewers!
Now you'll appear by the Warp Pipe that you couldn't access before, allowing you to reach the treasure chest as normal, and collect a Cricket Jam.
With the Cricket Jam, you can return to the Tadpole Pond and visit the Frog Sage once again. Give him the Cricket Jam, and he'll award you 10 Frog Coins!
