Mount Magmeow
Welcome to IGN's Walkthrough for Super Mario 3D World: Bowser's Fury. This page contains information on how to get each Cat Shine in Mount Magmeow.
Pipe Path Tower is one of the third set of islands you can visit in Bowser's Fury after getting enough Cat Shines to defeat Fury Bowser for the second time. It is initially surrounded by ooze, and can only be accessed after gaining at least one Cat Shine from both Risky Whisker Island and Pipe Path Tower. It will change its appearance and enemies slightly after each shine is collected, so you may need to leave to the nearby Giga Bell and return to see the changes appear.
Getting at least one Cat Shine from Pipe Path Tower will unlock nearby Lake Lapcat Cat Shines - Lost Kittens in the Wasteland, Wasteland Rabbit Plays Tag, and Gazing Down at the Lava.

Mount Magmeow - Back Off, Cat Prince Bully!
This Cat Shine involves you making it to the lighthouse just below the base of the volcano mountain, but getting to it won’t be as straightforward as you may think.
To get there, you’ll have to take a spin on several switchboards that move one direction or the other depending on where you step. First, you’ll need to start up the mountain path and take out the Fire Bros guarding the way up.
Once you reach your first switchboard, have it move forward and prepare to dodge fire from another Fire Bro, until the switchboard stops along the mountain walls, letting you ascend by carefully avoiding firebars and lava alike.
Once you get to the next switchboard, move forward cautiously and time your approach to avoid the large fire bars up ahead, then make a running jump to the next switchboard before you miss it. Follow the switchboards all the way to a ramp leading down to the Cat Prince Bully’s arena.
To defeat this guy, you’ll need to strike him or jump into him to send him teetering back towards one of the many pipes on the side. Once he gets close enough, he’ll get stuck, and you can knock him again to send him and and pop him out tiny - and give him a good kick.
Do this three times, and the Cat Shine is yours!

Mount Magmeow - Atop Mount Magmeow
Once you defeat the Cat Bully and return to this island, you can begin the ascent of the island to reach the Cat Shine at the top. You’ll need to use the switchback platforms to move forward, hit the buttons, and create new paths to move up the mountain.
Dodge the fire bars and piranha plant creepers until you reach the next switchback section and ride it in a circle to hit the button to advance it further up the mountain. Be prepared to dodge several of the giant fuzzies that also roll around on the tracks, and look for a clear pipe entrance at the end of the final track.
This pipe will take you all the way up to the top of the mountain, where the nearest “ear” of the mountain holds the Cat Shine you seek. While you’re here, be sure to check the opposite ear for a floating island that passes by with another Cat Shine for you!
Mount Magmeow - Hurry! Steer the Switchboards!
Once you’ve climbed Mount Magmeow for the Cat Shine, left, and returned - you’ll find a new purple button at the entrance to the island. Hitting it will start a timed event to the right to reach a Cat Shine.
You’ll need to quickly jump to the switchboards and move forward using short hops to dodge the enemies that may try to block your path. Once you reach the slope going up, you’ll either have to move to the circular track, or long jump directly to the last switchboard needed to reach the Cat Shine. The Tanooki Suit can help you cross large gaps to easily reach it in time.

Mount Magmeow - Five Cat Shines
This Cat Shine can be obtained at any point while exploring Mount Magmeow, but you need to find and reveal all the shards to find this Shine.
The first shard is located below the main landing platform at the base of the mountain - if you look below to the waterline you can spot a switchboard track around the back, which can be moved in a circle to locate the shard.
The second shard can be found on the first switchboard path you take that loops around a small platform - guarded by a lone Fire Bro.
The next shard is located as you traverse the narrow path at the base of the lava-filled mountain, after jumping over fire bars, defeat the Fire Bro and look down a pit to find the shard - and use a Cat Bell or wall jump to get yourself out unscathed.
Another shard is located at the end of the second switchboard path that takes you around to the back of the mountain. As it moves towards a large rock wall, crouch down to find a hidden alcove you can wall jump up and over to reach the shard on the other side.
The last shard is located very close to the previous one - as soon as you depart the switchboard placing you at the center of the mountain, but before you jump to the next, look for a small platform along the lava with a wall of blocks and POW blocks. Use a projectile or other attack to destroy the POW blocks, and reveal the shard within.

Mount Magmeow - Blast the Fury Blocks
This Cat Shine can be obtained at any point as you explore Mount Magmeow, but you will need the help of Fury Bowser to actually unlock it.
Look along the entrance to the mountain from the starting area, and you can spot the fury blocks embedded in the first stone platform rising out of the water, below the first clear pipe. Once Bowser comes looking for you, lure him over to the water and have him blast the blocks for you, then claim your prize.
