How to Change Sprinting Controls
Hellblade 2 offers a relatively short experience, and you often walk from place to place as Senua completes her goals. There’s a sprint button, but it’s set to Hold by default, and the option to change this isn’t as easy to find as you’d hope. Here’s how to change the sprint controls in Hellblade 2.
Senua moves extremely slow, for the most part, so there’s rarely any instance in Hellbalde 2 where you’d want to stop sprinting. And the sprint is more like a light jog in most situations – unless the game allows Senua to sprint at full speed for cinematic reasons.
How to Switch to Toggle Sprint
Open the Settings menu, select Gameplay, then open up the Accessibility section to find additional menu options. From here, you can change the sprint input type to Toggle instead of Hold.
You need to press the button again to stop sprinting, but that shouldn’t be a problem unless you’re in combat. Senua sprints faster during fights, so it’s easy to forget that the setting is on Toggle.
From this menu, you can also set the focus input to Toggle if you prefer that option for general exploration, or when collecting Lorestangir and Hidden Faces. The in-combat controls can also be simplified even further by changing the offensive and defensive actions at the bottom of the page.
