Serene Shores Area Arrival
As you take control of your character from the first base, turn to the right and use your Blue Pikmin to collect the pile of Raw Material. Then turn back and head towards the potted plant and small body of water.
As you go forward, use Blue Pikmin to get rid of the two creatures in the water. Then assign your Pikmin to rebuild the bridge to cross over to the cave. While the bridge is being built, look to your left and use Oatchi and the Pikmin to knock down the wall.
When the wall is broken, go left, then take out the creature. Smash the pots and you'll reveal two dice for you to collect.
Chance Totem x 2
Turn around and look toward the pile of Raw Material on the other side of the water. There's another creature in the water, so tackle that, and then look to the right for a dirt mound that can be excavated. When that's all done, go over to the Raw Material pile and have this transported.
Jump down to the right and head over to the Dandori Cave, as the bridge will be built by now.
Dandori Castle (Dandori Battle)
The Dandori Battle in this cave will be just like those that you've taken on before. The same variations will apply where there are Bonus Items. However, Mystery Items are also introduced in this round, which can be used against your opponent.
They range from bonuses like additional Pikmin, to falling rocks and lightning. In addition to this, there will also be a Golden Sniffer. This solid-gold pear will give you a significant lead if you can get it back to your base.
When you emerge from the cave, return to the base where you first landed at the Serene Shores. Before you reach it, go left and up the Sand Castle. Keep following the slope, and ignore any treasure you see for now.
As you climb the first ramp, you may notice what looks like a flower sticking up from the ground. Go around this for now, as rocks will begin to roll down the slope and try to hit you. You want to get up to the creature spitting out these rocks as quickly as you can, and take it down.
Continue up to the top of the sandcastle for a mini-boss fight where you can reclaim an additional base. During this fight against the Crusted Rumpup, you want to bait it into lunging and attacking you. When this happens, immediately get behind it and aim for its tail. Throw 15 Pikmin onto it, pulling it down. This will expose the yellow part of its tail, leaving it vulnerable to attack.
With the Crusted Rumpup defeated, the next base will become available. It will also drop a treasure for you to collect, so move your base first then collect the treasure and body of the creature.
Fish-Bed Snack
From here, go right and get Pikmin to build the climbing wall. Ignore the Gold Nuggets near the base for now. When the climbing wall is complete, you'll be able to reach an area with new creatures and a Blue Onion.
Serene Shores - Blue Onion
Have 20 Blue Pikmin go in and get the Blue Onion. This will drain the water and you'll be able to fight off the Puckering Blinnow. Drop back down and immediately take the slope down to the left to reach the Below-Grade Discotheque.
The Changing Tide
Whenever you reach halfway through the day at the Serene Shores, the tide will change and so will the water levels. This will give you access to certain places if you don't have enough Blue Pikmin to go in and out of the water for you.Below-Grade Discotheque
As you land at the Below-Grade Discotheque, go forward and Charge at the Tusked Blowhog. You'll see a train track piece just behind it.
Thrill-Ride Track
Throw your Yellow Pikmin up to get it then follow the path around to the next two Tusked Blowhogs. Take these out, then use your Yellow Pikmin here to excavate the dirt mound.
Doing so will reveal the next treasure. Use 7 Yellow Pikmin to collect this, then get the rest to pick up the pile of Raw Material on the left.
Sphere of Vitality
After collecting the orange ball, go right and build the ramp to climb up to the end of the level and the last treasure. To get the treasure, go up the ramp and left. Use 7 Yellow Pikmin here to get the treasure down. While they escort it back to the S.S. Beagle, pluck the Red Pikmin from the ledge on the right.
Sphere of Truth
You can now move on to sublevel 2.
Sublevel 2
Landing on sublevel 2, you'll see Yellow Pikmin fighting a Bearded Amprat. Use the Yellow Pikmin to help attack, then break down the electric gate. Go through and take down the second Bearded Amprat, then go left.
Hop up on the platform and it will start to move past the candle. Throw your Pikmin onto it, so they collect it and bring it down to the S.S. Beagle. When the platform reaches the other side jump off and go back toward the start.
Olfactory Sculpture
Now go right and through the metal bars. Wait here for the platform to come across, then ride it and throw a Pikmin at the white button. This will lower the iron fences. Stay on it until you reach the other side, jump off and loop back around so you can get Oatchi.
Go down the slope and use the Red Pikmin to take out the creatures and extinguish the flames. Pick up the pile of Raw Material and the Soul Reverberator in the corner.
Soul Reverberator
Go back up and down to Sublevel 3.
Sublevel 3
Sublevel three looks tricky but is actually quite straightforward. Go down the slop and straight over to the fan on the right blowing up.
Jump on it and you'll land on a platform with a red button. Go forward, toward the small metal circle. Use your Pikmin to dig through this and create a tunnel. This will take you down to the pile of Gold Nuggets.
Gold Nuggets x 10
When you have this, go back to the button and face the mushroom-looking trampoline. Throw Pikmin on it, then as they reach the moving walkway in the far left corner, jump on the red button and send them off in the other direction.
You'll see them ride the rail along to the paper bag. You need to ensure that 10 Pikmin make it over so that the paper bag can be pushed down and you can cross. When the bag drops, go down onto the ledge, then face the mushroom. Jump on it and you'll be propelled into the fan and can land where the Candypop Bulb is. Throw Pikmin in here to get 5 new Pikmin, which are Winged Pikmin.
Drop down to the right to get the train track, then jump into the closest fan to reach the other side and exit down to Sublevel 4.
Turn-of-Events Track
Sublevel 4
Go left at the start of sublevel 4 and charge at the wall to break it down. Behind it is a Tusked Blowhog. When it's down, it will drop the next treasure for you.
Relentless Spear
Go left after this fight, and have your Pikmin break down the mound of dirt covering the airflow. Use this to ride up and see another Candypop Bulb, where you can get more Winged Pikmin. Drop down and continue going left, towards the fire. Have your Pikmin collect the Gold Nuggets on the right, then use your Red Pikmin to clear the fire.
Gold Nuggets x 15
When the area is safe, get 16 Pikmin to rebuild the valve and throw 10 Yellow Pikmin up onto the ledge on the left. There is a tunnel here that only Oatchi can go through, and he needs to use the 10 Yellow Pikmin to drop the ramp so he can press the white button and lower the iron fence.
As the Pikmin finish rebuilding the sprinkler valve, they'll turn it and the water will come on. This will remove the fire from the next section, so you'll be free to focus on fighting the Blowhogs with all of your Pikmin. Just on the left here, you can find the final treasure for the level.
Sphere of Beginnings
Go back up with the Pikmin as they take the ball to the S.S. Beagle. Then turn right and carefully cross the thin metal walkway. Hop across the gap in the middle and you'll be able to drop down to Sublevel 5.
Sublevel 5
This sublevel contains a boss fight against a Groovy Long Legs. Timing is key for this fight, to avoid being stamped by its legs and to get the Pikmin onto its body as quickly as possible.
It will move through different phases as the fight starts. The first phase, the soft-blow glow is the slowest phase. It will slowly stomp around, but you want to wait until it lowers the ball in the middle to the ground to throw your Pikmin on. When it slows down, and the music stops, Whistle for your Pikmin quickly to get them back. Otherwise, they'll be hit by the Pink smoke that the creature throws out, which will cause the Pikmin to become confused and you won't be able to control them.
As it moves into its Yellow phase, it will get faster. But you just want to repeat the same steps of waiting for it to play its music, then lower its body down to the ground.
When its health is low, it will switch to a Red phase, where it will move incredibly fast. It's best to avoid it entirely during this, until it drops the orb to the ground.
Defeating it will give you the final treasure for this cave, and lower the gate so you can go and rescue the castaway.
Amplified Amplifier
Found Sheeba
When you have the last treasure and castaway, you can exit the cave.
Back on the Surface
Go up the ramp and back to the base. Then go right towards the Gold Nugget pile you ignored earlier. Next to it is a climbing stick. Use the Pikmin to extend this first, then collect the Gold Nugget pile.
Gold Nuggets x 20
Drop down and go left. Be careful as there are two stone-throwing Armored Cannon Larva that stand in the way of you and the last treasure you can pick up in this area.
Stellar Extrusion
Take both Armored Cannon Larva down, then use Oatchi to rush at the fruit and knock it down. This is the last thing we'd recommend picking up before you'll need to get your Pikmin back safely and ready for Day 9.
