Exploration Day 11: Serene Shores - Ice-Cross Course Cave and Subzero Sauna Cave
Welcome to IGN's Pikmin 4 Wiki Guide! This step-by-step walkthrough will take you through each day to 100% completion. On this page, you can find information on how to approach Day 11 of the Emergency Mission: Rescue the Rescue Corps including details on finding crucial Treasures, missing crew members, and more.
Starting Day 11 - At the Rescue Command Post
If you've been following our walkthrough, when Day 11 begins, the Rescue Command Post will have expanded once again to fit in all the rescues and castaways that have continued to join. Here's who we'd recommend speaking to before you set off for the Serene Shores once more.
- Speak to Shepherd. Have Oatchi Learn Mega Rush Lv. 1 for 4 Pup Drives. If you don't have enough Pup Drive, consider taking on a Night Expedition.
- Speak to Russ. He'll have new items in stock.
- Get Sniff Saver for 100
- Get Tuff Stuff+ for 60
- Get Air Armor 40
- Get Air Armor for Oatchi 80
- Speak to Dalmo. At this point, you should be able to complete All the Little Darlings 3.
- Speak to Schnauz. You should be able to complete Appraisal Frenzy 2.
- Speak to Osa. This will begin a chain of Side Missions for building things. You should already have two completed.
- Speak to Frise. This will begin a string of Side Missions where you'll need to collect musical instruments. You should have 2 completed already.
- Speak to Sy.

Back at Serene Shores
For the final day of Serene Shores, you'll want to start from the second base and go northwest up the Paper Bag. Go right when you reach the top, and excavate the mound so that the air starts to flow.
Heroine's Tear
Jump up on it and you'll land in the center of the ledge just above, where a creature will appear. Just behind the creature, on the right, you'll want to throw your Pikmin there to find a well-hidden buried treasure.
Go back down and head towards the exit of the Engulfed Castle. Get the Rubber Duck here and go right.
Stately Rubber Cutie
Charge towards the dotted create, then grab the next treasure just behind it on the raised ledge.
Ambiguous Hostel
Go right from where you picked up the treasure to find a spider holding a berry. Once you've got this, go left all the way into the find the final Dandori Cave for this level.
Juicy Gaggle
Ice-Cross Course (Dandori Challenge)
Back on the Surface
Exit the Dandori Cave and turn right, so you can start going back toward the south. You'll drop down into a section with a larger crab creature and smaller one. Eliminate these and the larger crab creature will drop a treasure.
Face Wrinker
Send your Pikmin and Oatchi over to remove the potted plant, then go left and into the small path of grass into the water. There's a hidden treasure in here.
Orbital Communication Sphere
Return to where you just fought the crabs, and dig up the mound of dirt near the steps that take you up to the pile of Raw Material. Collect that while the sand is being dug up, and jump up to the statue and have Oatchi rush and it to knock it down.
Lamp of Inspiration
When the digging is over, the last cave of the level will be revealed.
Subzero Sauna
Turn right as you land and smash the Hydro Jelly, go let and send some of your Ice Pikmin to break down the ice wall. Then, with the others, go into the room with the large Hydro Jellies.
Wipe out the Blowhogs from this area, and freeze each of the Hydro Jellies then destroy them. The one in the center has a fruit treasure for you to collect.
Disguised Deliacy
Now go into the room where the Pikmin broke the ice wall earlier. Take out the ice rocks, and the frog in the middle of the room. Then again, break all the Hydro Jellies around and pick up the Raw Material.
In one of the Hydro Jellies, a white Candypop Bud will be present. Use this to turn your Pikmin into White Pikmin that are resistant to poison. Use the Pikmin to collect the Gold Nuggets near to where the S.S Beagle is (go to the left from the room you're in). The White Pikmin will need to dispel the poison before your Pikmin can collect them.

After this, all that's left to do is go right and smash the last big Hydro Jelly to be able to exit.
Sublevel 2
The second level of the Subzero Sauna will be noticeably colder, making it harder to get treasures and slowing your Pikmin down. The first thing you need to do is remove the frost. To do this, you'll have to break the blocks of ice that can be found around the sublevel.
The first one is near the start of the level, just go left from the base and a rock will fall from above. Break it down using Oatchi and smash through the block behind with either Oatchi or the Ice Pikmin. Then go left and across through the frozen water.
Turn left again and cross the frozen bit of ice towards the box. Use 10 Pikmin to push the box down. Once the box has been moved, you can throw more Pikmin into the Candypop Bud hidden in the pot.
Then turn right and throw Ice Pikmin through the bars to break the block of ice in here. Go right from the metal bars and through the next set. Head right first to take out the creature and collect some more Pikmin, then go left into the room with the castaway.
Break the Hydro Jelly on the right (not the one with the poison in front of it) to reveal the last slab of ice that needs to be broken to help dissipate the first and melt the ice. This will allow you to return to the center and press the button in the water to lower the iron fences.
Go back into the room with the castaway. Use your White Pikmin to take out the poison, then use Ice Pikmin to freeze the last Hydro Jelly. Break it to find a paint tube.

Now collect the castaway and the puzzle piece from the lake.

You can now go down to sublevel 3.
Sublevel 3
This final level is a boss fight but before you start the battle, smash the Hydro Jellies around the room to get more Pikmin. Then, start to work your way around the room, smash the rocks and the ice cubes.
Fighting the creature is all about timing. Stand in front of it until it starts to suck in air. Then run around to the back of it. Its shell will open revealing the soft part that's vulnerable, allowing you to then charge and attack.
When it's down, it will drop the final castaway for Serene Shores.
Vonda
The door will also open, allowing you to pick up the statue that's a treasure just before you leave. Burst the last Hydro Jelly, then get back to the surface.

Finishing Up on Serene Shores
You might have just under half a day left to explore on Serene Shores, so all that's left to do now is find the last few treasures. You may also want to kill all the creatures in the area, and stock up on Ultra-Spicy Spray by getting red berries.
For the treasures, here's what's left to find. Head back up the sandcastle, and on the first slope, there's a ledge off to the right at the back. Throw Pikmin up here to uncover it.
Emperor Whistle
Go up to the second part of the sandcastle, then drop down to the left to find a well-buried treasure.
Foolish Fruit
The final treasure can then be found up by where the dotted creature was, and before you went into the last Dandori Challenge cave.

Back at Rescue Command Post
At this stage, you'll need to switch to Night Expeditions. You'll need to complete at least the Sun-Speckled Terrace Night Expeditions until Bernard is cured.
Rescue the Rescue Corps
When you've got Bernard back, you'll be able to go on and explore the next location: Hero's Hideaway.
