Palworld Biomes
There are four total Biomes in Palworld, and each of them is home to different Pals and exhibits different climates. As such, it's better to be prepared before heading out and adventuring in these biomes as different climates will require different gear and even different Pals.

Forest Biome

The Forest Biome in Palworld is the first island you'll encounter. It's the island that you spawn in and it contains the highest diversity of Pals on the Palpagos Island. As such, it's a great starting point for your adventure as well as a great spot to catch Pals that you might need for your base.
Palworld's Forest Biome features some of the most useful Pals in the early game such as Lifmunk and Cattiva. If you have a chance to catch these Pals alongside Lamball then you'll have a pretty competent starting base pal team. Aside from these Pals, this Biome is also home to a variety of Alpha Pals indicated as circles on the map, such as Chillet and Penking.
This Biome is also home to low-level dungeons that the player can tackle to get materials such as sulfur that cannot be found easily in the Forest Biome.
Volcano Biome
This biome emits extreme heat and as such heat protection is needed. You can bring Ice Pals that can help cool things around you but you will want to wear a Tropical Coat or a Heat Resistant Pelt Armor to be able to comfortably survive in this biome. Both of these can be crafted in the workshop as long as you've unlocked it from the technology tree.
Since there's a lot of heat talk, it wouldn't surprise anybody that most of the Pals in this biome are Fire. Pals like Wixen are very common in this area.
Desert Biome
Similar to the Volcano Biome, the Desert Biome will require heat protection that can be received from Tropical Coat and Heat Resistant Pelt Armor. However, this only applies in the morning and the afternoon. At night, the desert will turn extremely cold which requires you to wear a Cold Resistant Pelt Armor if you still want to explore the biome late at night. A torch can also be held out to make sure you don’t die of the cold.
Pals who inhabit this place are usually either fire, ground, grass, or electric.

Snow Biome
The Snow Biome is a high-level biome usually reserved for players over level 40. There’s not much to see in this biome, but it’s a beautiful sight to behold. Coal can sometimes be found lying around and most of the Pals that inhibit this island are Ice Pals.
It is important to be prepared when you go to this biome. There are Pals such as Arsox that can provide warmth while still being able to be ridden by the player for quick movement. You can also hold out a torch to add more heat.
