In the wonderful world of Palword, few materials are more important in terms of crafting than the "body fluids" of Pals, aka Pal Fluid. The official description notes that the item is "useful for its high viscosity." Don't let the odd and uncomfortable description confuse you, however. Pal Fluids are not Pal blood but the moist substance present within Water-type Pals. They're an essential ingredient for building all sorts of base features that involve moisture in some fashion, from the Hot Spring to the Witch's Cauldron.

The best ways to farm Pal Fluid are:

• Assigning Kelpsea to Ranch
• Defeating or capturing water-type Pals

How to Farm Pal Fluid at Your Base

Previously, the only way to get it was to farm Water Pals, either eliminating them outright or catching then butchering them. Since the v.0.2.0.6 patch, however, Kelpsea now generates Pal Fluid if you assign one to your Farm. Get one with a work-boosting trait like Serious to earn them more efficiently.

There are far better work Pals for your base out there, especially since Kelpsea's only other skill is Level 1 Watering, but so far, it's the only Pal that can farm for Pal Fluids. You can capture them between levels 10 and 20 on the beach on the northwestern edge of Investigator's Fork, which is northeast of Mount Obsidian. The other spawn location is between Ascetic Falls and Windswept Hills, usually around the same level.

Which Pals Drop Pal Fluid?

If you're in or near the ocean, then any Pals that resemble a penguin, duck, seahorse, manta ray, elephant, sea serpent, etc. are all but certainly a Water type. But here's a comprehensive list based on the current Paldeck of every Pal that drops Pal Fluid upon defeat or capture.

Which Technology Recipes Require Pal Fluid?

There are currently only seven recipes that utilize Pal Fluid. We've listed them all below along with the Player Level they are unlocked at, along with what they do. For more comprehensive info about the recipes involved, check out our full technology list.

• Celaray's Gloves (Level 7) - Allows the use of the Zephyr Glide Partner Skill, replacing your Glider with Celaray.

• Hot Spring (Level 9) - Restores more SAN during a Pal's breaks.

• Cement (Level 19) - Used to build some structures.

• Water Fountain (Level 23) - Boosts the watering skills of Pals at your base.

• Tomato Plantation (Level 32) - Allows you to farm Tomatoes.

• Witch Cauldron (Level 32) - Improves the Medicine Production efficiency of Pals.

• Lettuce Plantation (Level 38) - Allows you to farm Lettuce.

Best Pal Fluid Farming Method in the Wild

Broadly speaking, you can't go wrong with heading for any coastline to collect Pal Fluid because that's where Water types congregate both in and around the water. Rivers, streams, lakes, and ponds are much less reliable because all sorts of Pals use them as a water source, so stick to coastlines, particularly beaches or in oceanic inlets.

Fuack and Pengullet are two early-game Water-type Pals that are the easiest to farm.

From the Plateau of Beginnings checkpoint, you can head directly south through the mountainous caverns and descend to the small beach where you'll likely find some Water Pals, but a better option is to set out northwest along the main road. The Grassy Behemoth Hills checkpoint is a great place to start. To the south, you'll see the massive skeletal remains of an ancient Pal in the water. Surrounding it to the north, west, and south is a massive stretch of beach. Mosey up and down that beach, defeating or capturing everything you encounter, and you're bound to wrack up plenty of Pal Fluid before long.

As is the case with most type-based Pal resources, you'll get the most Pal Fluid if you catch every Water-type Pal you encounter and then butcher it with the Meat Cleaver.
