Romance Options and Guides

This page of IGN's Mass Effect: Legendary Edition wiki guide is all about the Romance options available in the game, in particular detailing how exactly you can initiate, develop and Lock In a Romance with a specific character.

Use the graph below to determine who your options are and use links to jump to their specific Romance Guide pages. It's worth noting that every Romance that is started in one game is able to be continued into the next, with one exception.

There are three types of Romance in the Mass Effect Trilogy:

• Flings are Romances which, while still passionate, are more casual relationships. Their main factor is that they won't jeopardize or lock you out of any other Romance.
• Serious Romances are committed affairs that you can only have one of. Despite being set in the 2180s, polygamy isn't a thing in Mass Effect and at some point you will have to choose if you try to have more than one Serious Romance.
• Semi-Serious applies to only four characters. They're more serious than Flings since Shepard musn't be in another Romance to reach their end-point, but they don't have a Romance Scene either.
